the defense did great today, but there's not much you can do with a mismatch like #9. He got his, but they really didn't get many yards at all. Beanie is the life of this offense, and I think the coaches were too high on Boeckman to open this game. Boeckman was only succesful because Beanie had defenses scared to death of him. So when you come out and only run the ball 12 times in the first half and have 21 passes there's bound to be problems.
Yes Boeckman had a crazy performance last week, but only because Beanie was running hard. We had ZERO play variety in the first half. We just went with 3-5 wide and threw the ball, and we are NOT a pass happy offense. We live on making teams pay if you try and stop a specific area of our offense. Instead they kept passing and passing even though it wasn't working. It wasn't liek we weren't getting good yards either.... Beanie was averaging 4.6 yards a pop at the half!!! I knew if they ran the ball they couldn't stop us and I was pumped that we went to the run. Beanie/the oline was unstoppable.
what I like about this game is that this will be the best secondary we'll face all year (till our bowl game)
