This Clifford situation got me thinking about this BCS NC game from a little different perspective. LSU fans, if I remember correctly, you have a lot of senior leadership on your roster (sorry to lazy to research it now ) tOSU has much less, but relies heavily on sophs, rfreshman and even true frosh, does anybody see the greater upside in that these youngsters now will get 20 more practices under their belt and will tOSU play their best game of the year because of it. It seems to me that these guys have the most ability to grow through the bowl preperation simply because of the game slowing down and the "oh I get it now" factor.
Cam, Dex, Ross, R.Small, DWorth, Chimdi, Dane, TGib, BRolle, BSaine and others who contributed large and small (no pun intended) will be more seasoned and confident. Once again hurry up Santa and come on January 7th

That is an excellent point GrizzlyBuck.
LSU shows 20 Seniors of the 4 and 5 year variety and 19 Juniors of the 3 and 4 year variety on their roster. They definitely own the "we are experienced" argument, pretty much hands down.
But, like you said - the room for improvement with the practices the Buckeyes are now undergoing - an effective second season really, that can make more of impact on a younger squad than on the Seniors.
Mr. Washington came back to Columbus - and it is a good day

Dorsey, Hester, Flynn among other seniors.
In addition to the extra practices for both teams, it's an excellent opportunity to hopefully heal those minor bumps, bruises, and nicks accumulated during a long season.

That's right CO, but injuries have sort of been covered ad nauseum(sp) I'm just glad to be getting back to talking BCS NC game after some of the other terrible distractions we tOSU fans have had to endure

Yup, no question LSU has a major edge in the senior class category. However, with a few exceptions (Heyward, Chekwa) those youngsters are also veterans. It's truly remarkable that OSU put together back to back title runs with very little contribution from that 03 class (4th/5th yr players in 06/07).

I have been watching LSU football religiously for nearly 25 years and I have never seen a more beat-up team as this LSU team. Amazingly, as injuries have mounted and 2's and 3's has played more, penalties have mounted. I am honestly amazed we did not loose more than 2 games. I had really be an exceptional coaching job by Miles.

so you're saying that if you lose by one that the season is lost?
