I don't think it matters who picks whom. Both teams can win this game, it will depend on how it plays out. Look at Vegas if you want to know what is going on. The line is moving closer to 3x. With a 2 - 3 point home field advantage, they have the teams on a nuetral site even. How can anyone say these teams aren't evenly matched, when the big money guys, who put their money where their mouth is are saying these are evenly matched teams. What til Monday and see where the line goes and you will have a precurser to the game. Last year, the last minute betting was on UF. One thing that I found interesting is that the line here in Baton Rouge hasn't moved (no, we don't have a published line). This is interesting because guys with money that bet don't put fan loyalty into it near as much as the average guys, the look at it more objectively as they care much more for their money.
I wanted both LSU and USC to go undefeated so that we could play them. We have a lot of animosity toward them and would like to shut em up. Can't say we have any of that toward tOSU. We do have a lot of respect for your team. I prefer to hate my opponents so I can only see blood.
We are not UF and will not try to do what UF did. We are the most like a B10 team that you will see from the SEC. Each of us has a style of play that is not so different from the other. Your lines are bigger, so if we don't have a quickness advantage, we are in trouble. This is gameplanning. If we try to play a two gap scheme, we will be in trouble. Look for a one gap scheme with a lot of penetration. This should be off set by misdirection. We know that
OSU will try to spread it out as this forces less agressiveness, but it is really not what they do.
OSU can have success against LSU being who they are. On offense we will pick the pace up and play more of a spread with a lot of short passes. LSU is very good at the seam route. Look for
OSU to mix a lot of zone blitzes to combat this ploy.
OSU is looking for a lot of wide plays to the outside and have been practicing a sideline to sideline scheme. LSU will counter by going into the I, then splitting out after its initial set to try to get a mismatch.
I hope that both teams play their best and that the winner earns the game, not thru penalties or turnovers, but by just getting after it. If both teams play a great game the one that prevails should definitely finish as the undisputed NC. I pray that noone gets hurt, players or fans. At the end of the game, I want to be proud of my Tigers win or lose. Preferably win
I have no prediction on a score in this game. Also, you would think that motivation should not be lacking for either team. Neither is getting a great deal of respect, despite having earned it. We are both there, we both did what we had to do. However, we are luckier to be there than you. Don't know how anyone could see it any different. And to that dumbass that said Hawaii should be there. A one dimensional team with no defense. Right. I can thin of 15 teams that beat them, maybe more. At least Boise was multi-dimensional last year. I can see USC having a gripe for not being there, but they just ducked UGA in the Rose. If they want to be NC, they should have played someone at least in the top 5. Give LSU or
OSU a month to prepare against ARK, KY or ILL and our result will be the same as USC's. The Trojans are only good for protection.
