He WAS a QB in HS so there is a very real threat of his passing ability. Wells is a different story.
If their rushing attack is a worry to us, they must be terrified of ours. Against stiffer competition we've got 400 yds more than them and 14 more TDs. So I'm sick of this Wells talk.

Brent Schaeffer, running QB
33 ATT 155 yards (8 - 94 of which came against LSU)
Try again.

Well he must be unworthy of respect then, if you're sick of hearing about him
If you want to actually talk football, then do so. But save the homeristic nonsense for the smackboards. Obviously you can't stand to give Beanie credit for who knows what reason. Jacob Hester is not the best back OSU will face this year, but that won't prevent him from getting tough yards.

I think Wells is on par with most SEC back and better NFL material than Hester. I would say physical Hester is not the best you have faced, but mentally he is the best you have faced. Basically when I think of Big10 football, I think of players like Hester. 4.5 speed or better and not afraid to lay the wood.
Williams and Scott are better than any RB you guys have faced this year but they run light and can be brought down easier than Hester. Williams especially tries to avoid contact and Scott is just not as tough as his physical nature would indicate. I think that is why Hester has been the starter all year long, he is just what Miles looks for in a running back.
I have stated that Wells is not the best RB we faced this year. That honor goes to McFadden who is an incredbile physical freak. To be able to move at 4.3 speed or better in full pads with his size, geezee. I would argue that McFadden would run for 200+ against Ohio State's defense from the WildHog. Not that you guys are bad; he is that damn good.

Your trying to say that 2 RB who combined did not rush for a 1000 yards are the best we will have seen all year? I highly doubt that.

all things considred, maybe its true. I'm not sure. I think you can make a case for guys like Ringer and especially Mendenhall, but their offensive lines aren't nearly as good as LSU's. Kinlaw is decent, but again, I'd probably put LSU's trio ahead of that and Mike Hart wasn't 100%.
Truthfully, we haven't faced many great RB's this year. Sutton was out, PJ Hill was out, Minnesota was Minnesota, YSU, Akron, Kent St, Washington, etc. We just didn't get tested like we probably would have liked.
That doesn't mean we're just going to be dominated, I just think this will be our biggest test of the year, when defending the run.

That is exactly what I am saying. They did not rush for 1000 yards because that is not how LSU uses its running backs. Having a 1000 yard back at LSU is very rare. I am saying those two guys are better than any other RB you have seen ... Seriously, I would not worry about getting dominated, LSU has not dominated anyone all year long. I am just giving my opinion of LSU talent.

Well that is my point. Hester has nearly twice as many carries as both of them combined. So if they are so great (at least great enough that they will be the best we have seen) why is Hester getting the ball so much? they are certainly talanted but to say they are the best we have seen all year is a bit of a stretch I think. You yourself pointed out some pretty good weaknesses of them.
what makes them so good that they will be the best we have seen this year but they are not good enough to even get the ball as much as Hester?
