Yeah but you also have to figure in with the quality of guys that Matta is bringing in we are going to have early departures to the NBA. Not saying any of those guys are going to be gone by the time he gets here, but they could only stay 3 years or we could start redshirting some players, and having seperation.

Gates has got a phenomenal physique for a PF. May be a little undersized, but he can and probably will still grow. He tends to be more perimeter oriented at this time and doesn't mix it up as much as you would think he would by looking at him. He's a tremendous talent though, and I think tOSU would really miss out if we didn't pursue him. He's good friends with Mullens IIRC, and has talked about wanting to play with him. I don't think he'll be scared off by depth. He's going to be a really good one.

Well while we did bring in all 5 star guys this year, not all the guys we are going to bring in are going to be 5 stars, and we could redshirt some.

this is the knock on every big guy...
it is as simple if you have a big athletic ball you get him the ball. even the better hs coaches dont design the game to be the most effective for the players but the easiest. it is a lot easier to go get the ball than let it come to you through an entry pass.

He's got plenty of time... He's shown flashes of greatness this year. It will be different for him next year without Adrion Graves eating up a lot of shots as well. His stats will go through the roof. Kids always get more aggressive as they feel comfortable growing into their bodies. It's natural. He'll be a banger that can step out and hit a J. Kind of like a Shelden Williams or PJ Tucker, but he's more athletic than Williams and bigger than Tucker.
