That was a quick thread:
Going to Xavier Also said he is leaving the green pastures of Toledo for Oak Hill. Muskies land one recruit Sunday Miles commits for class of '07 By Dustin Dow Enquirer staff writer <!-- ARTICLE SIDEBAR --><!--ARTICLE BODY TEXT-->What began as a big weekend for Xavier's recruitment of 2006 prospects, ended with a commitment from a prospect in the class of 2007. Nate Miles, a 6-foot-6 sophomore from Toledo, orally committed Sunday during an unofficial visit to XU. "They were real up front with me," said Miles, who indicated that Xavier being the first school to offer him a scholarship played an important role in his decision. "Some other schools said they might be there in a year or two, but Xavier was there at the beginning." Miles, who played last season at Toledo Libbey High School and averaged 19 points and five rebounds, said he is transferring to Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson, Va. "I just need to get away and work on my academics and work on my body (getting stronger)," Miles said. He is ranked No. 80 nationwide in the class of 2007 by Hoopscooponline.com. "That's fantastic for Xavier," said recruiting analyst John Stovall of Prep Spotlight. "He's a high-major player. He's probably the fifth-best sophomore in the state and anywhere from 50 to 75 in the country." Miles is Xavier's first commitment in the class of 2007 or 2006. Two 2006 recruits were on campus for official visits during the weekend. Neither Stefan Welsh nor Duke Crews committed during their visits. Welsh, however, said Xavier "is going to be hard to beat." Both Crews and Welsh spent considerable time with Xavier's current players. "A lot of those guys are younger players so if I go there, they'd still be there when I got there," said Crews. "So that's cool. I can say I do like the school, but you can't really speed up the process because it's a life-changing decision. "But I'm going to continue to be in contact with the coaching staff, and I'll be in touch with a whole lot of the players." |

This is a good pick-up for Xavier......as far as OSU.....I don't think Matta and company were recruiting him real hard, they have their sights set on bigger targets. |

3/7 Nate has re-opened his recruitment and has moved to Cornerstone Christian H.S. in San Antonio, TX. He says he committed too early and would really like to play in the Big East or the ACC. |
