Roe is developing his game from the Inside/out, which in my opinion is the proper way to do it for a big kid. I think Yancey Gates could profit from this approach.
Roe will not be a SF in college, he is a PF all the way. He'll rebound, play defense, block shots, score around the rim and hit 10-15 footers. He's got a very subtle game and is an extremely smart and unselfish player. Just lets things come to him. Not sure where he fits with Matta's offense, but Roe will be a very good college PF somewhere.

3/8/06 OhioPreps........recap of this past weekend's playoff action....St. Ed's put defeated Midview 83-49. The game started with an alley-oop dunk by Roe who finished with 17 points.

Hey bn with him already being 6'7'' I think that he would really be one to go after b/c he could easily be 6'8'' or taller playing the wing by the time he gets to school. Reminds me of one of them GTown wings.
What do you think??

No offense, but if sehs95 (St. Edward's HS, 1995) says that Roe will be a PF, I trust his opinion. This talk of developing his outside game or being a big wing is off the mark if somebody who follows the program closely says that he'll be a 4 in college.

3/23/06 OhioPrep.....Roe is named one of four players who should have been All-Ohio. Roe averaged 19.3 and 12.2 rebounds per contest in Divsion I.

4/3/06 Roe was named tourney MVP at the Queen City Prophets March Madness event this past weekend. Roe averaged 18 points through 5 games.

4/6/06 Roe recently stated his top five schools are Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State, Louisville and Illinois in no order. He has no offers at this point.

He is one that is could really pick up his recruitment over the summer with an improved game, but I think Gates is higher on our list.

5/2/06 Roe has started to gain the attention of some major programs. He has been impressive this spring and he is starting to get noticed nationally. His early list is Uconn, Florida, Louisville, Kentucky, Tennessee, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Illinois and Indiana. Illinois and Michigan seem to be pursuing him the hardest at this point.
