Also I thought it was interesting how the Arizona site was writing about him and said that even tho he is already committed they thought he was impressive enough just to give him a shout...

Also the main rivals guys havent even mentioned anything about him, even tho he has been one of the most impressive players there...

I wouldn't be so sure about that. If you know you want to stay home...why not decide that before you are verballed to a school (for almost a year) thus forcing them to pass on other guys who have since verballed elsewhere?

Luke Babbitt is staying home after all.

"I think it's good," Mauer said. "I think he got caught up in the fact that his grandparents live in Ohio and the Ohio State ties that he has."

Mauer pointed out that Babbitt is good kid who doesn't smoke or drink and is very family oriented.

"I think he wants to play in front of his family and be by his friends," Mauer said.
