Playing against East Coast #7 by Prepnation (Washington St. John's), Babbit and his team lost 58-52 (Galena has to have the most challenging schedule in the country! They are running Babbit through the gauntlet.) Luke finished with 25 points and 5 rebounds. 5-5 from the line. 4-8 from 3. Tomorrow he goes up against Scott County, the number one team from Kentucky. |

Not much new from the previous post except that Ohio State has been in attendance for each of his games. |

Galena loses another close one, 70-64 against Scott County KY. Ho hum...another typical game for Babbitt as he tried to will his team to victory. 34 points on 14-22 shooting and 10 rebounds. He puts up these kinds of numbers against the best teams in the country. No doubt he is a premiere prospect who is building a lot of character on a 7-7 squad. I also notice he shot 4-4 from the line. He's at least an 80% FT shooter, and his threes are easily in the 40% range for the year. |

Babbitt says he is very interested in Ohio State. UCLA, Ohio State, Nevada, Arizona and Gonzaga are his top five schools. Babbitt is averaging 25 points and 10 rebounds a game. Luke has visited UCLA, Arizona and Nevada and hopes to visit Ohio State and Gonzaga in the spring. |

A dozen blocks, really? I know it is h.s. and he probably is taller than most everyone on court, but 12 blocks indicates some athleticism I didn't know he had. I really wish we could sign 2/3 of Roe, Gates and Babbitt as they all bring some different skills we could use inside. I still don't like the Wallace signing as we are going to have to pass on several T25 players now as a result.

Nevada
I think the things that hurts us the most is that:
1. He lives in Nevada. He may have grown up in Cincy, but he still lives in Nevada. 2. Nevada is a big time Mid American school, they have recruiting power. 3. Fazekas is gone after this year, leaving that spot open. |
