He hits face-up shots and is skilled enough to finish in traffic, though he's inconsistent because a lack of strength allows him to be knocked around. He'll never be a strong post-up player. Vargas will be a shot blocker, though, mostly as a help defender.

At the NBPA camp......Vargas continues to have a strong showing on the AAU circuit. Can hit a variety of shots facing the basket and from the perimeter. Needs to get stronger but is labeled as one of the top post players in the nation.

Vargas visited Pittsburgh and will visit Ohio State this week followed by Louisville. Pitt has been recruiting Vargas since the beginning of his recruitment.
