Sampson's NCAA record while he was at Oklahoma was not very good. He might be a pretty good recruiter but I do not think that he is one of the better basketball coaches in the Country. When it comes to coaching, Thad it is so much better and so are a lad of other coaches.

Jones would be an excellent addition to the 08 class with the retreat of Babbitt.
This would be huge if this kid chooses the Bucks. It would ease some of the pain.
Everything happens for a reason.

Didn't Indiana recently lose a power forward? Their commit at PF for 08 Tom Pritchard seems like more a mid major caliber recruit. If KK sticks around past his freshman year can we really offer more PT?

Ron Zook has a special ability to treat people from all walks of life equally and with respect. He is especially beloved by minorities who can recognize disingenuous phoneys a mile away. Since a large number of the best football players are minorities, Coach Zook has an advantage in recruiting.

I think it is very wishful thinking that KK is going to stay for two years. I hope that he does but I just don't see it after his play in Europe.

Maybe not more PT, but quality PT on the floor with much deeper talent... and high, high quality practice reps against a wide range of styles of play from BJ to KK to Wallace

Recruiting scene: Peekskill's Mookie Jones and Mount Vernon's Kevin Jones will spend the next few weeks making their official visits to Division I schools and each hopes to make a decision before the start of the season. Mookie Jones spent last weekend at DePaul and was at Marquette the previous week. He'll be visiting Syracuse this weekend, Rutgers on Oct. 20 and St. John's on Oct. 27. Kevin Jones, a 6-foot-8 forward, has visits planned for Indiana, Pittsburgh and West Virginia.

Jones will be visiting Indiana this weekend, followed by West Virginia on 19 Oct., UMass after that and finally a trip to Pitt on Nov. 3. A decision will be made after his last official visit. Jones does not name a favorite.
