Both of Mullens and Buford looked pretty good and I agree, this game didn't suit their style of play. It looked more like AND1 than a high school game. I actually thought Tyreke Evans looked phenomenal and I have been extremely impressed with him every time I have seen him. I also thought Jennings was pretty tough. All in all, great athletes but very few shooters.

Evans has a solid game, but he needs to pass the ball a little more, and not take the air out of the ball dribbling so much...He is a streetballer that is going to take time to get structure to his game...He takes more shots than OJ Mayo...

I found Brandon Jennings' game to be appalling. He has great ball skills, no question. But I've never seen a player look so selfish while at the same time not looking to score. He was trying to come up with the assists record in the most ridiculous fashion possible. I haven't seen the final stats, but it looked as if he had more turnovers than assists, and he was the reason the West lost that game.

How can you be so selfish when you are tying to set a record to get your teammates shots...

That would go to Rosario and Evans...I caught myself even after I rewatched the game today saying pass the ball outloud, as there were guys ahead of them in transition or in Evans case he dribbled the one time for about 15 seconds until he attacked the rim...

The passes that Jennings made to Mullens early in the game are the type of passes I am hoping that Crater can make to Mullens next year...

He needs work and he was selfish, but I just think he is the most athletic player in the country this year, along with Dexter Strickland. He has the skills.

Yeah Evans had the size to go with his athletic ability but did a lot of pushing off during his dribbling that will get called which allowed to make more room, especially in an all-star game when the defense is not playing very hard...

But he is a black hole, one and done type, and one that I am glad we are not recruiting...Much like OJ Mayo...

You know that I am not a big fan of the one and done but you really would not have wanted Mayo to come to Ohio State for one year. I have watched a few games Southern Cal games and he did not seem that unselfish.

It's easy when the only thing you are concerned about is the record. In the first half, he yelled at teammates to give him the ball, and without even thinking, he would immediately drive towards the basket with no intention of shooting. He was only interested in seeing if he could come up with the "sweetest" looking pass. But, more often than not, it was just an ugly turnover.

Jennings has immense talent, but he's so out of control, it gets lost out there, and he ends up hurting his team. The whole offense for the West for the first 10 minutes revolved around him and his selfish ambition. It killed the team and allowed the East to take a nice lead - regardless of the couple of highlight-reel passes he may have had.

Seemed a little early to start a thread on the 2010 McDonald's game, seeing that it's still 2+ months until the 09 game.

Sources say that the Columbus Sports Commission has landed the 2010 McDonald's All-American Basketball Games, to be played in Value City Arena. The official announcement is expected at this year's games April 1 in Miami.
Two Ohio State recruits are strong candidates for the game: Northland's Jared Sullinger is currently ranked No. 3 in his class on the Rivals top 150, and Cincinnati Princeton's Jordan Sibert is 18th.

The 2010 McDonald's All-American games for boys and girls will be played March 31 next year in Value City Arena, McDonald's Corp. announced.

The games will include 24 boys and 24 girls. Ohio State recruit Jared Sullinger of Northland is a likely participant.

Awesome! We should definitely have at least two guys in the game with Sullinger and Thomas. Hopefully a girl or two comg to play for Foster as well.
