BJ Mullens is playing for the West team. William Buford is playing for the East. Given all the hype, I'm somewhat surprised that Pryor was not selected for this game.

Sunday practice report. Mullens was playing with the first team.

How in the hell are Mullens and Buford on separate teams?

The way they pair up the teams for this game is stupid. Why do they even call it East vs. West? Why not Big Macs vs. McMuffins?

Probably fell out like this -

West wouldn't have enough talent of similar stature - so they split the two 7 foot Centers onto opposing squads. (As it is they are heavy in guards) Thus Mullens on West, Zeller on East.

... and Zeller is from Indiana, a few hundred miles west of Columbus

But he has committed to North Carolina which is east of Ohio

The rosters seem to be pretty balanced.....but like all "all-star" games......it will be all offense and little about fundamental basketball.

Monday practice report

Mullens is a rarity with his size and athleticism. On several occasions, he had participants' family members and media in the crowd collectively shaking their heads after some powerful and acrobatic plays.

I really hope that Mullens gets a chance to showcase some of his skills, but big men don't always get chances in games like this...

Would like to see him have a block party like Oden did when he played in the game...

I thought his wrist was already hurt going into the game?

Apparently, it was an aggravation of an existing issue.

Oden got off to a great start erasing 4 shots in the first 7 minutes before re-aggravated a wrist injury which limited his playing time and dominance in the second half.

Yeah he did hurt it more, but it was hurt going into the game...
