Another solid/lengthy update by Gary Housteau...Sanders took in an OSU bowl practice recently. He would like an offer from OSU. He has offers from Georgia and Miami (FL).

Mark me down as someone who thinks the big 4 should be the big 5 in 2008...and Sanders should be in that group. Talk about a kid built to be a tackle. Frame, wingspan, feet, etc. I think his early offer sheet and the fact other schools such as Clemson and Louisville are in touch speaks to his potential.

Do you think he'll get an offer if Anthony Davis decides to go to Rutgers instead?

I couldnt agree more. I love Sanders, after seeing him at camp this past summer. I was very suprised at first with all the talk about not offering, b/c I guess I didnt really understand how we had such a great chance with the big 4. IMO we offer all 5 and take the first 4. Don't wait around on the other 4 to have 1 or 2 of them go elsewhere and then try to get back into the game with Sanders. Being from Northmont one would think that an offer around the first of the year and he would be a buckeye soon after.

If the Davis rumors are true, then I say we take all 5. Can you imagine? Adams, Brewster, Shugarts, Long and Sanders? How good of an OL class is that? Throw in a couple of DL and you ahve one of the best POWER classes ever.

The best thing with that class is you have 4 guys that can play tackle in Adams, Long, Sanders, and Shugarts, but they always say the best thing about a tackle is that they can play guard if need be. Therefore they have a lot of versatility in taking 5 guys in one class...

T- Sanders
T- Long
T- Adams
G- Brewster
G- Shugarts
- If Davis decides to go Rutgers, I would love to see an offer go to Sanders.

I just find it crazy that a kid from Ohio that has offers from UGA and UF and will get one from other big times schools yet at this point it doesnt look like he will receive one from us. Lets just hope we get the other guys we are after...

I would still take Sanders and Jenkins in addition to the Block O, but that is just me. I think he need to entirely replenish the OL/DL and guys like Long and Jenkins could play on either side of the ball. I really am pulling for a Sanders offer...

I would agree, we have built depth at the speed positions with the past couple classes and we need to fill the power positions.

I would love to pull the block O to go along with Jenkins and Sanders and also pull in Rowell, and maybe a guy like Worthy or Dick. That gives us 8 lineman type guys and then we can fill the rest of the class with whatever numbers we have. I think we are going to be extremely selective with offers next year at might have to wait to see offers to some of these other guys next year.

Me too. I think getting Sanders, Adams, Brewster, Shugarts, and Long for O-Line and Jenkins with some other DT type guy (Rowell and maybe Worthy) would be excellent. I like that Zebrie is waiting it out though so we have plenty of time to offer.

I say bring them all in, and maybe even Marc Stevens. Like it has been stated some of these guys can play on either side of the ball. We are going to need to load up on OL and DL. I would definetly like to see Sanders offered and Stevens as well. Good student and good player.
