Unfortunately for Jenkins, fans are also jeering him for wavering on his decision about WVU.

Jenkins projects as an offensive guard in college, so when six-year WVU offensive line coach and state native Rick Trickett resigned to accept a job at Florida State, Jenkins decided that he might have been hasty.

"It wasn't all about Coach Trickett," Jenkins said. "I just committed a little bit too early. I'm still committed, it's not like I'm not committed.

"I want to make sure I make the right choice for Josh Jenkins."

That has brought on Jenkins' share of critics -- the die-hard WVU fans that insist that state players should remain where they are even after high school.

"I still care about what people think, but I don't care what people think, you know what I mean?" Jenkins said. "I'm the one who has to play football. I'm the one who has to practice in 90-degree weather."

I have often wondered if that "fence" JT put around Ohio impaired OOS recruits in their efforts to come to OSU.

As for WVU fans - I remember when Rodriguez was going to Alabama and I wandered over to see the train wreck. There were vicious attacks including arguments that RR really hadn't accomplished anything while at WVU. I don't know how half those folks could keep posting without establishing new screen names.

Josh is currently focused on football practice, and he'll announce his college choice after his high school season has been completed.

Josh will make an official visit to Ohio State during the first weekend of December (post-season); he will also make unofficial visits to Columbus to watch the Northwestern and Wisconsin games.

Josh also wants to take official visits to West Virginia, Florida, Florida State, and possibly a fifth school yet to be determined.

An official in December and more unofficials for games? That doesn't sound like the kid who is just visiting schools on their dime but still committed to WVU like the mountaineers will tell you. If he was just interested in visiting the place for free....he'd go during a game and not in cold cold December.

The more visits he takes, the better for Ohio State in my opinion. Every visit he takes is another opportunity for Josh to see himself somewhere other than WVU. And if Josh decides to leave the state, 99% chance it's for Columbus.

My hunch (just a feeling no facts) is that he's waiting 'til after the season to announce because he plans on leaving the state and is trying to avoid the beer bottles and other objects that will be hurled onto the field while he's playing.
