Funny how the head coach says one thing and an assistant says one thing. Regardless, I still feel good about OSU and Jenkins...although this visit to WVU this weekend should make things interesting.

"Interesting" without a doubt. I think that Josh is "So Undecided" that it's anybody's call at this point. Wanting early PT isn't going to help us out, and no way in heck does JT "promise" that he'll start like he's heard from "Free-Shoes." The only thing that I would have liked to seen would been to have JT have his "in-home" in about 10-14 days, as close to signing day as possible. But I don't know if there are regulations on this or not.
That being said, from what wadc45 has provided on this kid for over the past year leads me to believe one thing. If JT can't close this deal, than it was never meant to be. From every report I've read, it seems like Coach has done evrything possible to land this kid. And from what I've read about him, he'd be a perfect "fit" at TOSU whether or not he ever plays a down of football.
Peace.

This one has really been Bollman's baby...Brewster, Adams, Shugarts and Jenkins was his project from the beginning of '08 recruiting...

Jenkins will visit WVU this weekend
By JIM BUTTA, Sports Writer
POSTED: January 16, 2008
MORGANTOWN?Parkersburg High School assistant football coach Mark McCullough announced Tuesday night on the MetroNews Statewide Sportline radio talk show that All-American Josh Jenkins will be making an official visit to West Virginia University this weekend.
As a result, the 6-foot-5, 305-pound lineman will not be making his previously scheduled visit to the University of pittsburgh, who he has dropped from consideration.
Instead, the two-time Hunt Award winner will make the trek to West Virginia University and meet for the second time this week with new Mountaineer head coach Bill Stewart.
?We talked this afternoon,? McCullough explained to MetroNews? Tony Caridi. ?And he is no longer considering Pitt.?
Good news for fans of the gold and blue, but not great.
That?s because the Parkersburg standout just returned from what he described as ?a great? visit at Florida State, where former WVU assistant coach Rick Trickett now calls home.
On Thursday, Ohio State coach Jim Tressel will be at the PHS football complex, the second time he has visited there.
It is a process that has seemingly gone on for a very long time and one that appears to be headed toward an 11th hour decision.
A decision that likely will come down to two schools?WVU and Ohio State, with FSU lurking in the dark looking to snatch away Jenkins? services if the other two schools fail.
?As of 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday night, Jan. 15th, I?d say yes,? McCullough said concerning the three-team battle over Jenkins. ?Really, I expect it to go the full term.?
Meaning fans probably won?t know Jenkins? selection until National Letter of Intent Signing Day on Wednesday, Feb. 6.

Lets just hope he tucks the last little baby safely in the bed.
Amazed that Rivals dropped him from, I believe 102overall last I looked, all the way down to 204! All I heard about the ArmyBowl concerning Josh was that he did a good job, both in practice and in the game. Did anyone else hear or read otherwise? Rivals was all over the game, it was their baby.

Yeah it was really weird...he had a really good game but if you read between the lines in practice updates, Rivals didn't seem impressed.

Thanks RB. Watched but didn't record game(idiot). Mesmerized by TP, Big Mike & LT, and DP too, basically missed the rest. But you say he had a really good game as so does everyone else. Rivals, I just don't get sometimes.
I think Josh could easily be in the two deep for '08, and I think we grad 5 OL in June. No doubt we need him and he WILL play, and very soon. C'mon, Josh!!! Sorry if I repeated anything.

Scout $
Josh says he will visit WVU and has no idea what to expect. He raves about FSU and says the Noles and tOSU lead with WVU in a distant third. Pitt is no longer being considered.
