Well I hope he does too, whichever school that might be. However, we are talking about an 18 year old. An age group not known fors its wise decisions. Let's hope that JJ is wise beyond his years.

I think with the way he has handled his recruitment, the way he speaks in interviews and most importantly what those close to him have said about him has proven him to be just that. Wise beyond his years. Let's just sit back and relax and rest easy with the fact that those on this board in the know have said it's not a matter of "if" but "when".

I just don't see Jenkins staying in state. How often does a recruit wait until NLOID then announce for a home-state school? Brandon Harris may, but I don't see it from Jenkins.

If WV is the slight leader, why did Jenkins back off his "soft" verbal? It is not adding up......I think FSU and OSU are still in it with WV a distant third at this point.

there is nothing in the article outside of the writer stating that he is a wvu lean that would make you think he's leaning towards the mountaineers. the article makes jardy look like a pulitzer candidate.

New coach. That is always a reason for another look. On the other hand, the coaching change was an opportunity to leave WVU behind with a clear conscience. Then again, you can argue he continues to hedge to avoid the local backlash as much as a serious interest.

WVU and OSU are NC contenders next year...Free Shoes University not so much. When looking at the long term future OSU is an obvious choice over WVU. If Coach Styewart doesn't maintain what RR did he gonna be gone in 2-3 years whereas Tressel isn't going anywhere unless he decideds to retire which is highly unlikely at this point.

I see your point. By all reports this decision has been very difficult for him and who can blame him if he wants to stay in his home state and play. I know most of us feel Ohio kids should stay in state if offered by tOSU.

Every WVU fan, writer, or person in the state of WV holds on to hope that WVU is, and always has been in the lead. The whole time he was taking unofficial visits, they maintained he was solid to WVU, while the whole time he was really leaning towards OSU. They will not relent...when RRod left, it was a better excuse to leave and actually just made it a lot easier on Josh. I don't see him ending up anywhere other than OSU.

that's the way I feel as well. When you listen to the responses of these two coaches, it's not necessarily what the athletes feel, think or say, it's more about the way the coaches want to perceive the info and twist it so they can feel that the schools they want the kids to go to still have a chance. And you would think that they would have the athletes best interest in mind and not their own personal gains. I guess this business doesn't work like that.

I don't know if they are knowingly trying to twist the information...I just think their perception of the situation is influenced on their ties to the respective schools. Either way, I don't think either coach is very accurate normally.
