Well, Devon Lyons was switching between SAF and WR for a few years until he finally settled in at WR. I don't know if that means he didn't have what it takes at SAF but he seems to be set to have a breakout year at WR and step in for Roy Hall. We do have a logjam at SAF, but the best players will play, and if the staff seems to like Scott at SAF and he comes in and outperforms the others guys there, he will play there, obviously. It will be hard to keep a kid that athletic off the field. However, nothing screams LB in Scott to me.

If you watch his tape, he closes on the ball well, and the ball carrier.. with some schooling and weight gain, he could be flourish, as a speed linebacker similar to Jermale Hines

Well, if he indeed is about two inches shorter and 15 pounds heavier than originally listed, then he is not as rail-thin as first appeared... |

IMO he is either a WR or a FS type prospect similar to Nate Salley. He has great size and good speed to be an over the top type defender at saftey with great size to come up and help support the run. I don't think stocky is exactly how I would describe a saftey prospect look at Sean Taylor, Adrian Wilson or even Will Allen who I believe was listed at around 6'2''. You would be hard pressed to find a corner 6'3'' or taller.
And Mili I was looking through NFL rosters a little bit and found one 6'5'' saftey Pat Wilikins from FSU who played a good amount as a rookie with the Cowboys. I found zero CBs taller than 6'2'' and there were only a few of those. Edit: Antonio Cromartie is 6'3'' only corner I could find that tall. Last edited by BuckeyeLiger87; 06-22-2007 at 04:16 AM. As for Cordale having "great size" to come up and help support the run, right now he doesn't have it. Now, he just may put on 30-40 pounds and become a new breed of safety, but going by his original stats it looked like his frame was more suited to corner. |

In the few films I've seen he looks better at WR. He has a special gift for that position.
![]() A better WR prospect than Small? |

No Taos...not a better WR prospect than Small. I truly think Scott ends up on defense. OLB is not out of the question. This kid is a freak and is going to be a stud wherever he ends up, but I think he is better suited for defense at this point. Size-wise think Brandon Mitchell with much better speed and athleticism that is in a whole different league (no offense to Brandon).

I see him being a rangy, ball hawking free safety if he plays defense(which I think happens since I think we're going after another wide receiver). I don't see him playing that close to the LOS all that often. I see him just blanketing his half of the field with his superior athleticism and size.

You'd often see the world's tallest safety combination when he and Kyle Jefferson were out there. It was made even funnier when they had Eddie Mason at one of the corners, generously listed at 5-9.5 but probably closer to 5-8.

Cordale is impressed with some other schools including Illinois, but he says tOSU is his leader and even counts the four WRs the Buckeyes plan to sign this season. Jeff Fuller is #4 according to Cordale. |
