Pierre Woods was a 2001 recruit who went to UM and I'm pretty sure he was from Glenville.

I believe Woods is the source of the rift with UM and Ginn Sr.

I just watched Cordale's highlights on Rivals, and I am very impressed.

I must have underestimated his abilities beforehand, as I wasn't sure how big of a prospect to view him as, but watching his videos made me very excited at the idea of landing him at tOSU.

What stuck out the most was his hands. He also had great body control when going up for the jump ball, and had multiple catches where he flat out punked the DB trying to fight him for the ball. On one long pass, he made the over-the-shoulder catch and was able to keep both feet in bounds even though he caught it at the very back of the endzone.

I also didn't realize how big he was. 6'3", 200 pounds (Rivals) is a great size for a WR, and I know he's been mentioned as a prospect at Safety, but I like the thought of using his athleticism on the offensive side of the ball and giving tOSU a great endzone threat, if he does commit to the Bucks.

I agree, I would venture to say that Cordale is a bit underrated right now as a WR prospect. Scout only has him as a 3 star (take that for what it's worth), but it seems with his physical ability and the hands he has displayed on film that he should be getting more recognition. Even if he ends up at safety, this kid has talent. A ND fan I know asked me why I wasn't more excited about Scott, my response: "You know what? You're right. I'm an ingorant jerk."

The film you speak of: Rivals

My opinion on his future position changes with the wind...I think he looks like a better defensive prospect, actually at corner (though he likely projects at safety of Will). Either way he is a fluid athlete with great size.

If playing the WLB has been thrown around by the coaches, it makes me wonder about the Gardiner grayshirt offer then...

My guess is he starts at safety and possibly ends up at Will...we have a Sam and Mike in this class but it's possible Whiting is a Will for '09 (though I think he is a Sam and Klein is a Mike). Also as BGriff said, if Gardiner accepts he is likely a Will. Plus we have Gibson and Hines at Will (or Rolle?). It's good to have depth but we have no safeties in this class and the only underclassmen at safety will be Oliver and Pentello, assuming Torrence stays at WR or moves to CB. I like Cordale's chances at playing earlier at safety but he could easily add weight to his frame and become a LB. Either way, sign him up.

Or, we could switch to a 4-5-2 with no safeties. It might work out well against all those slow Big 10 offenses.

Hines tried out at RB, and may be down the road, but he is still practicing at linebacker. No official move has been made.

If Scott is landed (Which I fully expect) he seems like the prototypical JT recruit. Has the size and skill set to play numerous positions and is willing to do that.

I saw that on his thread and totally forgot...I don't think he stays there but what do I know. With Saine and Herron both in the same class, I think he moves back to Will, unless Saine is going to become a WR exclusively. A bit OT so what I'm trying to say...I think Cordale would be a more instant impact at safety if need-be. He is quite a suspect tackler and the main reason I said corner (in addition to good hips) was because his tackling ability and willingness to tackle seemed below par at best. The technique can and will be taught, he can likely add the weight, but does he have the mentality of a LB? That is an OSU LB trait that can't be taught...
