I realize there's still along ways to go with Floyd, but with the confidence of Thomas a WR recruiting class of Posey, Stoneburner, Thomas, and Floyd has to be illegal right? That would seem to good to be true.

Couple those targets with the OL class, and I don't know what QB wouldn't want to sign up...

Lots of time still left with Floyd for sure, but with his growing relationship with Brew Crew members and the lack of stones so far this year by ND, we seem to be in tremendous position here...

As bad as ND is this year, you still have to believe that the opportunity to play right away has got to be tempting. The Bucks have a ton of talent already and a lot of talent verbally committed and possibly even more to come in the class with him.

Evidently Floyd must be giving a great deal of weight to the ability of the staff to develop players for the next level - that certainly favors Ohio State.

My oh my...which one do you double? Then if you do, we'll just run the ball with Torrence...or let Pryor run (if he ends up at OSU). Or we could just shift Thomas around and the same with Stoney. The OL class coming in can open up the lanes or give the QB all day to throw. That would be too many weapons to cover and worry about. Just to stay more on topic here though, I still think Floyd is the 1b WR in the country next to Green and would be an amazing get.

So I was thinking about that last night. Imagine in 2010, when we put a 3 wide, 1 rb set on the field that looks like this:

QB: Henton
RB: Pryor
WR: Thomas
WR: Stoney
WR: Posey
TE: DiLillo

and then the O-line. Then if we were to run like an 8 or 9 play no-huddle package. Think of how many things we could do out of that formation. We could stick Henton and Pryor in the Pistol formation and run options and option-passes and option-reverses to Thomas all day. We could throw all day to any of like 4 targets. We could stick Lamar in the backfield and run sweeps and RB screens. We could stick Pryor under center and move Stoney back to fullback to let Henton carry if we need a tough yard. I dont know why, but for some reason the thought of that package really got me excited.

Except that in 2010 Torrence, Washington, Schwartz and Sanzenbacher will all be seniors... Which would just be an unfair set of receivers - especially if you include Floyd, the subject of this thread...
