No offense guys, but I'm psyched Floyd is headed to ND!
But no, it's not a diss to you guys. It's because I know Floyd will be criminally misused and ND's coaching staff is so brutal, they won't know what to do with him. At Ohio State, this kid would have been nasty. At ND, he'll probably be mediocre, though that's not his fault. |

Though I guess you could say I've told you where to look, even if I haven't turned over the rock to show you what is underneath. Damn - I hate being cryptic. |

Is it just me, or does committing without taking all of your visits seem very premature?
I mean I know one of the first trips could seem like it was the perfect place for you, but there's no way you can make a fair comparison without giving all of them a shot. Doesn't make sense to me. |

matcar - cooler heads based on a full squad would be the usual suspects.
This is something less usual. But you would have to put 2 and 2 together from 2 different strains. |

For frustrated fans, I guess it really comes down to at what point does the marginal utility of having another wideout becomes less than the marginal utility of having another DL or OL. I think having three WR commitments (possibly four with Scott) pretty much does it.

Spotlight awaits Notre Dame recruit St. Paul receiver has scored 33 TDs in past two seasons Monday, February 4, 2008 3:07 AM By Brian Hamilton Chicago Tribune David Brewster Minneapolis Star TribuneMichael Floyd is nearing legendary status at his high school, but will that translate to Division I college football? ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The open cafeteria doors are inviting. The alternative is not. "How long is this going to take?" Michael Floyd asks. The lunch-period rush convenes all around him. Floyd would prefer to join it. The collective, hormonal miasma would firewall him from interlopers. He wouldn't be strictly anonymous, smiling and horse-collaring friends from behind. But he wouldn't be in demand. Instead, Mike Scanlan, his football coach, buttonholes him. A visitor wants to talk. Floyd offers a fleeting, blank stare, then relents. He is a five-star receiver recruit who has done scores of interviews. On this day he is polite but detached. In short, Michael Floyd seems kind of tired of it all. Cont... |
