This kid is considered one of the Top 5 players in the state of Illinois... and one of the Top 5 WRs in the country... Not sure if you gonna find a better WR prospect interested in OSU, than this kid..

A lot of times these players and rankings are based on hype, so tread lightly... Not saying Brandon isn't a quality player, but clamoring for an offer based on preseason rankings and one quotes saying that we are his dream school doesn't make much sense to me... Now if staff evaluates his film and decides they want to offer him, great... But if not, then we will have to "settle" for "plain old in-staters" such as Johnny Adams or Cordale Scott...

Or we could take a shot at Preaster, Tate, or Flyod...

That got me thinking CBF40... Seems like most of the WR's that we have offered or shown interest in so far seem to be bigger WR's (6-3 or taller)... This may be an indication of what the staff is looking for next year after bringing in smaller guys the last couple of years...
Like I said... Nothing against Green... Just playing devil's advocate about why we shouldn't offer just because of his statement and ranking...

Exactally it seems like every one of the recievers that have popped up on the radar have been of that size...
At this point I would love to see the staff really push hard for Tate and see what kind of feel they can get on him...
The WR position also looks strong instate so if they can get a feel on some of the guys OOS early then they can look at the instate guys and determine how many they might need. A guy that can play both DB and WR is going to get a heavy look next year I think, especially with the low numbers of schollies. I really like Fairchild or Adams in that role if they play some DB and impress the staff because they have the ability to play WR, but if we can land one of them they could always switch to DB if the WR position gets to crowded if we can get verbals from a guy like Tate/Preaster OOS and a guy like Scott in state.
As for Green I am not sure where he fits in b/c I don't konw enough about him, but it looks like there are some big time WR's knocking the door down to come here...Hopefully that doesnt change after other schools get involved...

To bring him in at CB doesn't sound like a bad idea. 8 picks? Seems to have some potential there.
