If you look at the flow from NJ... Rutgers is up and coming... and USC is doing well... with an occasional Florida... we need to establish more of a foothold here... this state does produce some players....

Definetly agree. Jersey has some great talent every year and this year is no exception. Will Hill, Brandon Smith, JB Fitzgerald, Brandon Beal, Marcus Witherspoon, Art Forst, and DeJaun Miller are all high quality players.
For my money Hill and Smith are a pair of 5* safeties who athletically are both better than where Myron Rolle was from the '06 class. Rolle might be a bit more instinctual and more a natural player then either Hill or Smith, but those guys both are heads and shoulders above him as pure athletes.

im gonna have to disagree w/ that commentary..myron rolle is a fiiggin stud, and he's about to become a household name for the non-recruiting fanbase this year...myron rolle is an OLB w/ enough speed to play safety and he does it well......its pretty ridiculos when u can crack a Mickey Andrews starting lineup as a true freshman....nothing against Will Hill, b/c hes good, but im gonna wait to annoint him more athletic than Myron Rolle

again.. I have not seen Hill play... I will...
but I know a lot about Rolle... extremely gifted... physically and mentally... fab grades (4.0) ... came from what I believe is a family of significant means... because he attended VERY (and I mean VERY) expensive prep schools.. The Hun School down the street is up to $45K a year !!! and has a renown coach who has sent many to D1 top programs... plus Rolle had a top tier personal trainer... who, at the same time, was the personal trainer of two NFL DBs ... those DBs, the trainer and especially the father (who I believe is a FL grad) influenced the decision for FL...
I saw Rolle play... and he is special... very deceptive speed... because of his size...
so when I see Hill compared to him... my first reaction is disbelief... until I see it...

SI.com - NCAA Football - Florida's Meyer uses unique event to corral recruits - Friday July 27, 2007 7:07PM
Quote:
Meyer and his staff had two commitments before the event, but doubled that amount within 48 hours. The foundation has been laid for another stellar class. One of the biggest news items out of the event surrounded a non-news story. The near commitment of Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peter's athlete Will Hill was the talk of many. Hill didn't participate in the festivities, but took in the atmosphere with his father.
Hill, the No. 7 prospect in the country, came close to ending the process on campus but indicated he'll take an official visit to Gainesville on Sept. 15 before he commits. With Georgia, Florida State, Ohio State and USC all on the board early with commitments from top-20 players, landing Hill will allow the Gators to keep pace.
