Just because it is being reported now does mean that is the order in which it was sent out...he may have gotten this offer weeks ago and this is the first update that has been done on him since then. None of the folks I talked to at other sites new anything about this offer either.

I think he is primarily being recruited as both an OL and DT (probably what RIB was talking about)...I will change the thread title.

He is considered more of a LT prospect and is easily in the top 10 in PA, if not top 5. But he is a VERY heavy Pitt lean. His coach is a former Pitt player that is very close to the Pitt staff and many Thomas Jefferson players go to Pitt, including Nix's younger brother. He has been at Pitt about a hundred times already and that's not even an exaggeration.

Why do kids with alot of other options even seriously look at Pitt? Is it solely because they are local? Pitt is a joke IMO, I really can't see why a kid who could play just about anywhere in his region and possibly in the nation would decide to go to Pitt.

i lived near there for many years, the school is pretty neat, and its located in a big city which makes for a decent scene.
