I don't know if Terrelle Pryor is the clear-cut #1 everyone says he is (No, not because he's an OSU lean). I'd probably put him at #2, but that Julio Jones kid is unreal. Great size, speed, unreal leaping ability. Can't go wrong with either player, just my opinion. Jones is a much more polished player but Pryor's upside is ridiculous. |

#1 Arthur Brown #2 Julio Jones #3 Darrell Scott #4 Terrelle Pryor #5 DaQuan Bowers I personally don't agree with Brown being #1...he is an incredible talent but I don't think he is the best player in the country nor is he likely to have the greatest impact over the course of his college career. I have watched film of several of the top rated LBs and while you could make a case that he is the best LB in the country over guys like Major, Bradham, Katoa, Beal, Filer, etc. but I just don't think he is going to be the game-changer that a guy like Julio Jones will be. I don't see enough to seperate him from the rest of the pack enough to call him the #1 recruit in the nation. I think Jones, Pryor and Bowers are the clear top 3 players in the country based on their ability to have an impact during their careers in college. Brown, Will Hill, Patrick Johnson, EJ Manuel, AJ Green, Brewster, Cissoko, Kalil, Mike Adams, Darrell Scott and TJ Bryant are other players I would have up for consideration at 4-10. |

Brown at 25 on Rivals is quite the contrast from his Scout ranking, don't know why. |

I don't hold Cissoko's height against him...he is a top 20 player in my eyes, if not top 10.
Rivals.com Football Recruiting - Several make moves in position rankings Furthering their ineptitude this year... Pryor is still the #1 dual-threat QB. Posey is the #3 WR. Floyd is the #11 WR. Jarboe is the #18 WR. Tate is the #19 WR. Scott is the #28 WR. Stoneburner is the #5 TE. DiLillo is the #27 TE. Brewster is the #2 OT. Shugarts is the #10 OT. Adams is the #12 OT. Jenkins is the #4 OG. Defense coming tomorrow...I thought the Rivals250 and Rivals100 were awful but these position rankings are just deplorable...and not just when it comes to OSU recruits. Rodriguez Wilks as the #75 WR in the country? With offers from OSU, Tennessee, Florida, etc.? C'mon. Brewster rated as a tackle? Shaw rated as a tackle? Fauria rated as a tackle? Koehler rated as a guard? Just awful. Looking at the rankings for RBs vs. all-purpose backs just goes to show that I think most of the time they just throw a kid in a category based on his measurables. If he is under 5-9 or under 180 lbs. they put him in the APB category. I am thisclose to not posting anymore Rivals rankings this year...that's how bad they are...now on to some rankings by some people who aren't certifiably crazy. Scout.com: Updated East 100 By Lichtenfels...of note: #1 Terrelle Pryor #5 Shayne Hale #7 Josh Jenkins #12 Kenny Tate #14 Andrew Sweat (Yancich at #28) #32 Cam Saddler #33 Lamar Thomas (maybe the only one I think is way too low) #61 Kyle Long |

-EDIT- Rivals has Thomas rated as an ATH again. Last week when they put out there new top 100, he was ranked as a corner. Last edited by westbuck04; 10-17-2007 at 02:46 PM. |
