I was just watching Brian Leonard do the Leonard Leap with the Rams.
And I thought of McGuffie's leap, also.
The reason why Leonard's leaps work so well is because he's so heavy, DBs go low on him. That allows Brian to jump over them.
Sam is in fact much smaller than Brian was in college. The Malcolm Jenkins and Taylor Mays of college football are not going to hesitate one bit to go high on someone of McGuffie's size.
I think Sam should watch out with the leap and notice the difference in situation between him and Brian.
If he goes in thinking, "Brian Leonard does it, so can I," he's going to have a painful and rude awakening.

I have a feeling it will take only one hit where he goes airborne, head-over-heals, for him to come to that conclusion.

Sam McGuffie's extensive highlight reel has made the Cy-Fair running back an Internet star and with it came national recognition in the world of high school football. Before Thursday night, the same could not be said for Shane Turner.

While he didn't explode, McGuffie, a Michigan commitment, had a solid night in his own right, finishing with 163 yards on 31 carries and a touchdown. He only had one run over 20 yards, a 43-yarder that set up a third-quarter touchdown by Wesley Cobb (10 carries, 52 yards).

McGuffie also showed a lack of effort in pass blocking in the last few minutes. (Which the anouncers pointed out)

Jackson was also the lead recruiter for the Texan McGuffie, the nation's No. 9 all-purpose back this year, according to Rivals.com. Helmholdt said after speaking with his recruiting contacts in the Houston area that "McGuffie is the one guy I would say at this point I expect not to end up at Michigan."

Don't even both asking if OSU is interested...the staff wasn't then and I doubt they would be now.
