Game footage of Greg.
He's a big, strong kid... I'd be thrilled with either Shaw or Jenkins for our last OL in this class... Both could be beasts on the interior...

He is very raw but he has some ability. He has great reach for a tackle and can play with a mean streak. Put some weight on him and get him in the strength program and he will be a very good one. The only thing I wasn't crazy about is his that he had trouble engaging LB's and moving to the next level...he occasionally just flat out missed blocks when he was attempting to block a LB. Overall though I think that can be fixed with some good coaching and I would love to see Shaw in this class.

What HS lineman isn't raw? He has much more than some ability. We must have watched different film or one of us has no clue how to evaluate OL.

don't be so hard on yourself grad. This kid is very intriguing IMO. I'm with 22, give me Jenkins or this kid and our OL haul is unbelievable.

Micheal Brewster, Stephen Good, and Mike Adams are guys who I think seem pretty polished. Of course every OL could work on form a lot more but the aforementioned guys look much further ahead in their developement than Shaw. Don't get me wrong, he looks to have great potential and athleticism, and I guess to say he has some ability would be incorrect...I think Greg is a legit top 100 player. However, I saw on film that he would let guys into his body on a pass rush instead of using his athleticism and long arms to stop them. I also noticed he had problems staying engaged on blockers...he would get over-excited it seemed and would miss his block. However the size, athleticism, long arms, upside, and mean streak make him a very good player and I would take him in a heart beat, as alluded to in the rest of my post.

Like this kid alot. Think he's a great guard/tackle prospect. Definetly agree with Rivals' ranking of him in their Top 100. He's also seemed to have lost some weight, he looks like he's in good shape. He was being listed north of 280 and even close to 300, nice to see that he checked in at 267 at the Athens NIKE. Think it's much easier for kids who are 270-ish to get upto the 290's-300's than it is for overweight HS lineman with weight problems to get into shape (an example off the top of my head-UM's Alex Mitchell).
Have been hoping for a long time that Michigan would get in on him. Would they have a legit shot? I have no idea if they would have a legitimate shot or not, but it's worth trying.
BTW, this might be a bit off topic, but Michigan pretty much ignores the state of Florida. Especially South Florida, and that is a huge mistake IMO. Yeah, you might not land the 5*'s from SoFla but every once in awhile you might land 3* kids that FSU/Miami passes on that turns out to be a great player. There are so many talented athletes in Florida and South Florida specifically, and Miami/FSU can't find/sign them all. I've always been somewhat envious of the way Tressel recruits Florida. Ever since he's been at tOSU he's been landing kids from Florida and been actively recruiting the state. I've seen his presence down there first hand. UM's presence in the state is pretty much non-existent. They don't really even bother with recruiting Florida.

good I hate it when they take the good recruits. Greg Shaw would look best in Scarlet and Gray.

I gotta say, Shaw really impressed me when I saw one of the highlight reels of one of the Nike Combines he went to. Him and the Georgia DE Wells (another Buckeye offer) really jumped out at me. I guess it depends on what the Buckeyes want to do about the Jenkins recruitment, but I'd say Shaw stands a very good chance of tempting them to at least split their attention between the two prospects, by getting an offer.
