'08 GA QB/ATH Deron Furr (Auburn Signee - Transfer to Memphis)
Deron Furr
Columbus (GA) Carver Height: 6-foot-2 Weight: 217 lbs Forty: 4.52 secs Bench max: 285 pounds GPA: 2.6 Interested in: Auburn, Clemson, Duke (offer), Georgia, Georgia Tech (offer), Kentucky (offer), Ohio State BG$ 3/7 Deron is the #1 athlete in GA. Although he can play runningback, wide receiver, defensive back, he currently plays quarterback for his high school team. Deron will attend Clemson's Jr. Day this weekend. He likes Ohio State because of the Buckeyes' disciplined style of play; he will try to make a visit to Columbus soon. Last edited by BGriffBuckeye; 04-22-2007 at 11:23 PM. Reason: added photo |

That article is actually from the Clemson site, not Buckeye Grove...Deron may be interested in OSU but I would be shocked if that interest is reciprocated...which is why we did not start a thread initially.

Scout $
4/1 Furr has offers from Duke, Georgia Tech, Kentucky and Tulane and is hearing from Clemson, Indiana, LSU, Florida State, Florida and Alabama. He says his top teams are Clemson, Georgia, Ohio State, Louisville, Florida, Alabama and LSU. I'd say that just about confirms that there is not mutual interest... |

It is great to see you on here Mr. Furr, as we have had a few dads on here as well. It is always great to hear first hand how recruits are doing and their plans for summer/camps. Keep us updated. It would be great to have an athlete of your son's caliber in Columbus. How long were you in Cincy?

Good to hear. Does Deron plan on staying at QB? or have other positions been discussed?

HE LIKES HAVING THE BALL IN HIS HANDS, HE HAS A KNACK FOR THE END ZONE AND LOVES THE PRESSURE OF THE BIG GAME, INDY AND S.C. HAVE OFFERED TO PLAY QB BUT HE CAN PLAY ANYWHERE, AND STATES WHEREVER HE CAN GET ON THE FIELD THE FASTEST IS WHERE HEW WOULD PLAY. NO PRIDE FACTOR HE JUST LOVES THE GAME.
