I this also funny to read what Brewster talks about in the new Scout "Making of the Brew Crew" article. How he and Sweat had basically no interaction with the Florida staff at all during their visit there, yet when they were in Columbus, they were treated like royalty.

I'm guessing that the Florida staff already knew that Brewster wasn't coming to Florida.

Well, I do believe they gave the same "warm" welcome to Sweat too, as Brewster states that they both talked about each staff and how much more they each liked the staff at Ohio State... and ths was before the staff at Florida could have had any idea that Sweat was going to be a Buckeye.

Booker T. Washington practically hadn't played a full game in three weeks, but the Tornadoes showed no sign of rust in outclassing Fort Lauderdale 47-0 in Thursday at Lockhart Stadium.

''The big thing for us tonight getting back into a rhythm,'' coach Timothy Harris said, referring to his team's inactivity after two bye weeks and a game halted by lightning. ``Getting the team to play together fast is what I had hoped for.''

The Tornadoes (2-0, 1-0 District 16-4A) had no trouble off the gate against the Flying L's (1-3, 0-1) which were missing five starters on the offensive line.

After holding Fort Lauderdale to a three-and-out opening series, Booker T. Washington scored three times on its first four possessions to build a 24-0 halftime lead. Quarterback Sancho McDonalds threw two touchdown passes and ran for one before leaving the game in the second quarter with a right Achilles heel injury.

''That's a serious blow,'' Harris said. 'We really won't know [McDonalds' status] until the MRI.''

Backup Torrance Moise accounted for the two offensive touchdowns in the second half with a 25-yard TD pass to Brandon Harris and an eight-yard run. The defense, which held Fort Lauderdale to minus-two total yards, scored the other touchdown on a Winston Frazier 51-yard interception return in the third quarter.

Linebacker Franklin Brown tackled punter John Sindone in the end zone for a safety. Kicker Oscar Diaz hit a 30-yard field goal and made all five of his extra attempts.

Brandon will visit LSU on 10/6 and attend the Ohio State-Wisconsin game in Columbus. He is considering Florida, Ohio State, LSU, Miami, Rutgers, Central Florida Oklahoma and Clemson.

Yet another Wisky visitor! Good to see us making progress in Brandon's recruitment. Hopefully Brewster, a Fl native this year, plus Scott and Rolle, FL Natives from last getting some quality PT, can make some headway and we can make up A LOT of ground on him. Brandon has all the tools to be a great corner at the next level.
