Without watching film, he reminds me alot of Manny Lawson, a real tall guy that uses speed rather than power.

I LOVE tall defensive ends. Thats just me personally. Especially athletic ones. Why? They block passes easier, generally have more upside, usually have longer arms, and have more room to hold good weight as opposed to a 6'1 defensive end.
Sounds a little bit raw with a huge upside. Gotta love guys like that.

Wonder why we aren't pursuing as hard.. That last update from Rivals made it sound like we've cooled, but that he'd be very interested in hearing from staff and our recruits.. But then that newspaper article says we're going after him harder than everyone else..
Any of you guys know which is the case?? Is he still on the OSU rader?

We have not cooled...grades could be the only hold up but the staff is very high on Coples. As long as everything is okay as far as admissions goes, expect the staff to make a huge push for Coples. He or Keith Wells could very easily end up in this class.

Scout - 07/24/07
Quinton wants to take official visits to Ohio State, Michigan, Florida, Florida State, and Tennessee. In the mean time, he will take unofficial visits to some local schools such as Clemson, North Carolina, and North Carolina State.

Rivals - 07/31/07
An article on several East Coast prospects.... According to Mike Farrell, North Carolina is the team to beat for Coples, with Tennessee being the dark horse candidate.
