'08 FL WR Travis Benjamin (Miami signee)
Rivals Profile
Scout Profile Belle Glades (FL) Glades Central Heightt: 5-foot-11 Weight: 146 lbs Forty: 4.4 secs Scout$ 6/11 Claims an offer from Ohio State, Miami(FL) and LSU along with interest in UF, Auburn and FSU. Just glancing over his measureables, I am not so sure about it and he may be misunderstanding the contact we've made with him. However, we may very well have. A new name, from Belle Glades, which as we all know has produced some top talent recently and a school the OSU coaching staff is very familiar with. Last edited by wadc45; 06-11-2007 at 02:25 PM. |

Good find BGriff, but like you I am VERY skeptical. Someone who claims a Miami offer should have that offer listed in both the Rivals and Scout databases. Rivals hasn't talked to him in months. CaneSport would be all over this kid if he was really offered by the likes of Miami and LSU.
OSU has offers to several guys who could end up at WR, including Floyd, Scott, Smith, Tate and Fuller...and I would bet the house that they would take every one of those kids over this one. Maybe HH or someone will come in out of nowhere and tell me I have no idea of what I am talking about but I just don't buy this one. |

Watched his film...Bakas saying he has a "slight build" is a mild understatement. Only three clips so it's tough to get much more of a read on the kid.

Scout $
7/11 By Bakas...mainly looking at Miami, LSU, Florida and Ohio State (Miami and LSU have offered). Scout no longer lists an offer from OSU...FWIW. |

Rivals $
10/4 From the OSU site...talks about his season so far and says he is still considering Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Miami and Ohio State. |

Muck Bowl has perfection at stake Last time Pahokee won at Glades Central was 1981 By Stacy Hicklin |South Florida Sun-Sentinel November 9, 2007 The perfect storm has been brewing for an entire year. Each week it has gained speed and intensity. Today that storm is finally at full strength. Its fury will be unleashed tonight in Belle Glade in the form of the annual Muck Bowl between host Glades Central and Pahokee. The Raiders' rich Muck Bowl history will clash with the Blue Devils' resurgence in the rivalry. The stakes have never been greater, the anticipation never more intense. "It's a once-in-a-lifetime thing," Glades Central wide receiver Travis Benjamin said. "Most people don't ever get a chance to play in a big game like this." Cont... |
