Best Recruiting Classes-early edition...

Here is my take on who has the best recruiting classes in the country so far-and their prospects for adding more talent

Ohio State 11 commits
-we all know who the studs are
-arguably the best group of OL commits in the country
-Pryor,Thomas,Jenkins and possibly Hale might vault this class to an undisputed #1, despite small #'s

Miami 17 commits
-best group of LBers in the country-a whole bunch of 6'1 200 headhunters-all highly regarded by the gurus'
-probably the best DB in the country in Patrick Johnson, and best DT in Marcus Forston
-Randy Shannon has sealed the "State of Miami"-Broward,Dade,and Palm Beach counties virtually airtight, OOS/N. Florida commits will determine how much higher this class goes

USC 14 commits
-group of OL/DL commits-6 total-every bit as good as Ohio State's-Wes Horton might be the best DE prospect in the country
-excellent group of WR commits highlighted by DJ Shoemate-didn't play last year due to injury and still ranked as a Top 50 or so player
-USC will rake in more studs

Notre Dame 19 commits
-perhaps the best group of DL recruits in the country-5 studs, plus Darius Fleming, a killer OLB in the 3-4 scheme the Domers are installing
-Dayne Crist-QB and Kyle Rudolph-TE, each might be in the top 3 nationally for their positions, they are the only real bigtimers on offense though....
-Michael Floyd and one or two more each of DB/WRs will probably finish off the Irish class

Texas 19 commits
-might have the best group of DB commits in the country, including the one OOS commit, S Nolan Brewster of Denver, son of Gopher coach Tim Brewster, and DJ Monroe, an Olympic class sprinter who is in his own speed category
-very balanced class between positions, no QB, 3 RBs committed
- 3 best RBs in Texas committed elsewhere-2 to Oklahoma, 1 to UCLA
-Mack Brown might be finishing things up as usual, he snagged his kids early and is wrapping things up, might still be in the market for a QB and a DL or 2

Nebraska 22 commits
-have an OL class in the same talent range as Ohio State and USC
-have a commit from the best QB in the country not named Terrelle-Blaine Gabbert from St. Louis area
-might be pretty much done w/ 22 commits, and no in-state studs holding out

Alabama 18 commits
-might already have the best group of WR recruits in the nation, w/ Julio Jones-#1 in the country, from in-state still in play, although Auburn might lead for him
-Jones aside, are absolutely dominating in-state recruiting-Tyler Love is a bigtime OL
-Bama will be on the lists of lots of top Southern recruits, I'm sure Saban will reel in a few more studs

Nothing to offer regarding Oklahoma's recruiting season? They've had a pretty darn good one as well, especially on the OL and as you said RBs.

This was strictly my opinion after reading a couple of articles, I could definitely be wrong.

As for Oklahoma, they have a really nice class as well-2 bigtime RBs and a stud QB in Landry Jones-but their class might be a bit more top heavy than the ones on the list-strictly my opinion though.....
