'08 VA ATH Marcus Davis (Virginia Tech signee)

'08 VA QB/ATH Marcus Davis  ATH/QB Virginia Beach (VA) Ht: 6-foot-5 Wt: 215 lbs Forty: 4.6 secs 2006 stats: A first-team all-district performer as an athlete, Davis accounted for 28 receptions, 680 yards rushing and over 500 yards passing as a junior in 2006. Class: 2008 (High School) Top-five of Florida, UNC, Penn State, Tennessee and Virginia Tech - VT and Florida lead. Led Ocean Lakes HS to an 8-2 record this season - his first as a full time QB. 3 star/3 star at Scout/Rivals. Would like to play QB, but is generally considered an ATH. tOSU has made calls recently (according to techsideline.com) - Davis claims that talks are in the "beginning stages" but thinks that an offer is possible and would like to visit tOSU if talks continue.

Rivals has him as an event verified 6'4" 221 with a reported 4.5 40. Kid is a sick athlete. He's great with the ball in his hands, but I am not sure where we would use him on offense... and he is not a QB. There was one clip on Rivals of him picking off a pass, and I would assume he fits in somewhere on defense, possibly the LEO that Gibson going to play next year?

I had the same 'oh sh*t' reaction but was told that most programs don't see him as a QB. Mods - I added this to the Rumor Mill because its still early, feel free to move as appropriate. (and delete this post?)

Took the "QB" out of the thread title and moved it to the recruiting forum...as I mentioned, this has ZERO to do with Pryor, and even less until the kid actually gets an offer.
That's some kind of math I can't even do...

There have been two other guys that osu has wanted film on that fit this description and a lot of posters have freaked out. This kid is a football player and might show a better ceiling than the likes of scruggs or koger.
