If you watch one of the videos on rivals, He clearly says that dorrell was the main reason he decommitted from UCLA. He said when dorrell was at nebraska, he started recruiting him and if dorrell was still at nebraska he probably would have gone there. Dorrell was key for him, WE SHOULD HIRE DORRELL AS AN ASSISTANT TO MAKE SURE WE GET AUNDRE

His runningstyle reminds me EXACTLY of Adrian Peterson. He's a fast big back who can hit the home run and really "attacks" the line of scrimmage. Not saying he's of Peterson/Mcfadden type quality, but his running style almost identical.

I don't see that 5th gear that Peterson and McFadden have. He has good speed but if he's not running away easily from high schoolers, he's not gonna be able to do it as well as Peterson and McFadden did against collegians. Not saying he's not a good back, just maybe a notch below those two.

I suppose. Running style really did remind me of them. Keep in mind however, Peterson and McFadden got a lot faster in college. They werent necessarily speed backs in highschool.

Seeing the number 30 in those uniforms, I could not help but think Mike Rozier(sp) Aundre has good burst, good balance, good vision and seems to run down hill and doesn't waste time when he sees the hole open up. I could see him in S&G (specially if it means TP is wearing the same colors)

I post this link because of what he discusses as his reasons for committing to UCLA. He mentions his relationship with Dorrell and how he is a family-oriented guy, their strong recruiting class this year, their tradition at RB, etc. He is a very well-spoken kid as well. My intentions were to note the similarities between why he committed to UCLA and what we offer at Ohio State.

Coaching: Ohio State > UCLA
Recruiting Class: Ohio State > UCLA (currently ranked 5th by Rivals; due to 22 commits to our 15, but we have the better quality per recruit)
Tradition at RB: Ohio State > UCLA

He doesn't seem to have any real relationship with the school, but it was mainly to Coach Dorrell & with him gone, as long as we can bring him up for a visit, I think we have a better shot than ANYBODY to bring him in. But of course, these are all just my observations.

If Dorrell ends up at Dook, as is being conjectured, this kid could be a great addition to their recruiting class. If our staff wants him, he must be good. So I want him here!

Peterson ran a 10.6 100m as a high school soph. I'm pretty sure he was State Champ in Texas at one point.

As much as he may like Dorrell, it is still Duke football, and they don't exactly churn out pro prospects.

Kid sure does like to lower the shoulder and hit people. There were a couple runs where I was expecting the Beanie stiff arm, but he hasn't got that yet. Has great power and seems to also have very good balance. Seemed like every run - he either scored or it took about 4 people to bring him down, if not more.

He's got the little shoulder dip down pat, that's for sure. You're right -- give this kid a stiff arm and he's gonna be flat NASTY.

From what I saw on the youtube video, he has a pretty good "inside outside" stutter step that freezes up corners/safety's/olb's which is pretty good.

But Dean has had plenty of excuses not to become the successful young man he is today. Had he not become a national recruit, had he not broken out last season with over 2,000 yards rushing at one of the state's top programs, few could've blamed him.
Dean bounced around foster homes until the fifth grade. His youngest sister, he doesn't even know her age (saying she'd be five or six right now) much less her whereabouts.

Not surprising that Jim Tressel's family atmosphere is appealing to the young man. One thing we all appreciate about JT is his genuine care for the young men on the team. I imagine the relationship he forged with Dorrell is something that is taken very seriously, more so than a schools record in bowl games or how many players it sends to the pro ranks. Long story short, this kid is looking for a relationship and he has seeked out the best opportunities to find it. Whether he comes to OSU, follows Dorrell where ever he goes, or seeks out another opportunity, I wish this kid the best. I'm really rooting for him.
