My grades for the '08 class, plus best national position classes
My grades for this class, plus best position classes nationally
My grades for this class position by position QB- wanted/needed 0-1, got-? If we get Pryor, A+, if not, incomplete b/c we didn't recruit anyone else Best national -Miami-3 really good prospects, Mizzou,FSU,ND,Oklahoma signed 1 big timer each RB-needed 1, plus 1 FB got-0/1, 1 FB I'll give this position a C, b/c the coaches did not want Thomas to play at RB, but he might be forced to by depth, Martin was a good pickup at FB, if Torrence doesn't screw up, this would have been an A Best national-Oklahoma got the 2 best backs in Texas, including Jeremie Calhoun, the #2 RB in the nation, Colorado signed Darrell Scott (his UNCLE is a freshman w/ the Buffs) WR/TE-needed 2/3+ 1 TE, got 3/4- Phenomenal talent, but potentially only 1 true WR if Thomas=RB, Stoneburner=TE, and Johnson=S. Still, I give the class an A for talent, including DeLillo Best national-Alabama-Julio Jones plus 3 or 4 other really good prospects-Burton Scott and Melvin Ray, Miami-Aldarius Johnson-Top 100 type plus Tommy Streeter and a couple of bitty burners. Georgia signed AJ Greene from South Carolina, perhaps the least hyped mega-talent WR this year, plus some other good prospects. ND signed Floyd and 2 other really good prospects. OL-needed 4, got 3 Best talent in the country, but I refuse to give an A to a class w/ less than 4 members A- ! Best national- tOSU and USC can fight it out, tOSU has better pound for pound talent, but USC signed 5 studs. DL needed 4, got 5 Can't argue one bit w/ tOSU's haul. A+++!!!! Best national- tOSU's class is extemely good, but USC just might have signed the top 2 DE's in the nation in Nick Perry and Wes Horton, along w/ several other top prospects. Clemson might have signed the best inside-out combo w/ Daequan Bowers and Brandon Williams. LB- needed 1/2, got 2 Sabino is a monster and Sweat is a stud. A+ Best national- Miami signed Arthur Brown, the #1 LB in the country plus a whole slew of 200lb headhunters from Florida-numbers and sick talent. FSU and ND have really nice groups too. DB- needed 1/2, got 1/2 Howard is a big time CB, Johson a nice safety prospect A Best national- Texas and LSU each signed a big time group, Florida signed the 2 best safeties in the country w/ Will Hill and Dee Finley. Apparently Liuget sent out a false signal about signing w/ the Gators, now he is an Indianhead, but Hunter also might decommit from the Gators now, and sign w/ the Dawgs, I will have to revise my list accordingly.....

My grades for this class position by position ....Clemson might have signed the best inside-out combo w/ Daequan Bowers and Brandon Williams. Excellent post. Nice summary. Useful composite comparison tool. Appreciate the effort. Thanks! Note: Brandon (Thompson) I think instead of Williams. |
