This is kinda off-topic kinda not but.... why is it listed on osu.edu that nexts years game also going to be Minnesota @ Ohio State?
I'm assuming that has something to do with the new stadium or it's and error or.....? |

BigTen scheduling changes next year... it is done so each team gets 4 home and 4 away games each year. The same thing happened with Wisconsin a couple of years ago... I believe we played them in 2002 and 2003.

Correct. We played at Madison in 2002 (day game) and 2003 (night game).

Correct me if I am wrong, but there are two teams that Ohio State will always play, and always play at home in even years, and on the road in odd years...and that is Penn State and Michigan. I think quite a few teams have "rivals" locked in like this in the Big Ten. My feeling always was, that we should be playing Michigan and Illinois every year. I think it just became Penn State because when they joined the conference, they had no rivals, and we were the closest team to them, AND PSU and OSU along with Michigan were supposed to dominate the Big Ten.
I don't like playing Minnesota...they seem to always play us better than they play everyone else. |

Didn't OSU play at Penn St two years in a row also? I think the year of the rout loss (66-19 or whatever) and the next year win (28-21 or whatever) were both in Happy Valley.
Yep, I was right. Google is my friend http://pennstate.scout.com/a.z?s=157&p=2&c=310625 * Oct. 29, 1994, at University Park, Pa: Penn State (1) 63, Ohio State (21) 14 -- In a season of great performances, top-ranked Penn State probably had its greatest in this win over the Buckeyes. Ki-Jana Carter, who grew up just 10 miles from the OSU campus in Westerville, blistered OSU for 137 yards and four touchdowns. QB Kerry Collins threw for 265 yards and two scores. PSU jumped out to a 35-0 lead and never looked back. PSU outgained OSU 572-214. The Nittany Lions went on to finish 12-0, winning the Big Ten and defeating Oregon in the Rose Bowl. But Nebraska claimed the consensus national championship. OSU ended up 9-4. * Oct. 7, 1995, at University Park, Pa.: Ohio State (5) 28, Penn State (12) 25 -- OSU avenged its humiliation from a year earlier by rallying for a big win at Happy Valley. QB Bobby Hoying, who threw for 354 yards and three TDs, led OSU on a six-play, 58-yard scoring drive to the game winning points. The key play was his 32-yard pass down the middle of the field to TE Rickey Dudley, which set up Eddie George’s 6-yard TD run with 1:42 left. |

We own Minnesota more than we own any other Big Ten team...
