A win is a win is a win. That is the first point that I want to make.

The second is that I hope that Dane and Boom are OK. Both of those were shots, think that the one Boom took might have been a cheap.

Third I wanna say I love the new formation with TP and Beanie in the pistol and Herron/Saine in the deepback. I think that we could do some real damage with this formation. We could even put Becks back in there with TP lined up next to him with Beanie deep. There looks to be some real potential with this set.

Fourth, I really miss Pagac's D days. The 11 silver bullets flying to the ball the anger and aggression that they played with was great. I am not much of a fan of this zone read and react that we seem to be playing more of. It did seem that they got better at times tonight especially the 3rd quarter. I was pumped to see Rose in there tonight. I think we could get some real pressure with he, Wilson, Heyward in there together. I am glad to see Jenkins step up at the end of the game to finish it. We/He really needed that. I was a little dissappointed to see Hines get little time but since he is considered a "nickel back" and UW doesn't spread the feild like so many others.

Number five, AJ can kick the crap out of the ball. His play made a huge difference. For some reason I am still nervous when we are kicking field goals which is shocking because of our stellar play in this area the past few years.

Overall as the first sentences says. a win is a win is a win and that is the important part. It does look like we are improving on all sides of the ball. I just hope that we keep the big MO going for us and pushing us to peak at the right time.

I'll give him some greens for that.

I have been dealing with a nasty right-shoulder injury for 33 years now. I know how Robo is feeling. He plays like a guy whose shoulder feels the way mine does. And yes, it is nearly impossible to move your right arm quickly with this type of injury; and yes, range-of-motion is significantly limited. No, I don't know if his injury is exactly like mine, but he sure plays like it. He's still a Buckeye to me.

Hell of a big win on Saturday. I think there is plenty that we need to improve upon but I feel that this is the first time this year where the team actually stepped up and won the game. They almost lost it many times on the final drive but they actually made the plays down the stretch to get the victory and that is extremely encouraging. Great win. We have taken many great teams into Camp Randal and have come away with a loss, so to go in there and get the victory with a true freshman at QB is fantastic. GO BUCKS!

A win is a win. This game had loss written all over it. A night game at Wisconsin after they embarrass themselves by blowing a 19 point lead at SCum. I will worry about the line getting run over and the fumbles another time. It is almost 3:00 am here and I have had enough Guiness to drown an Irishman. I am happy.

A classic Tressel ball win was what the doctor ordered for this fan.

A win is a win?!?!? This game was..... AMAZING. Frustrating... But AMAZING! Props to Wisconsin, seems no matter what situation they are in (this year being the melt down last weekend), they always give Ohio State all they can handle and a little more. Great game, great atmosphere, and although Terrelle Pryor was a little shaky at times, how can you be disappointed with that last drive?? Loved it... I'd like to see the secondary playing a little more aggressively on the ball, not 10 yards off. But other than that, I'm more than happy with the results. Glad to have escaped Madison with a W!

Good to see Troy Smith healthy and playing for the Buckeyes again. That last drive of his was the Troy we all know. Made some really nice reads and throws, then scampered in for the TD. Vintage Troy.

Err..

Great game, Wisconsin fans. Too bad someone had to lose that one.

This was one of the 5 games I thought we could lose and we won it. It sucks to Play Wisky at home...really bad. We got the W and I'm happy to have survived. This is the only team that has given us alot of trouble since Tress has been here.

If your not impressed how cool as a cucumber Pryor was on the sideline and in the game on the last drive your are crazy. I have seen OSU seniors buckle at Madison. That kid had a game winning drive against a top 25 team on the road and made it look easy. The future is very bright.

Pryor is trying to do everything "by the book". They need to tell him "go play sandlot football". Hes trying to find open WR's when he should take off. Pryor could have had 150 yards rushing. He needs to throw the ball OOB when he is outside the tackle box when nothing is there. He is still learning and can correct these mistakes. I hope during this weeks practices the coaches get him ready. Hes a freshmen...a hell of a good freshmen. We will have growing pains but he is a serious talent. I think we are getting better.

They need to go fill those footballs Trappasso kicked ...damn he was booming them. Pretorious had a good game.

I fear PSU and Illinois offense's with the way we are playing defense. Wisconsin just lined up and ran down our throats with ease. DT is an area of concern. The DL got no pressure there for awhile. Like stated before if you give WR's 3-4 seconds they are gonna start to create space and get open.

We are getting better offensively. I'm still scratching my head about the defense.

It seems that every team we haved faced this year has moved the ball well against us. I don't think we have an answer for this. Again, no pressure on the QB.

Offensive line needs to gel. I don't care who's a senior or an upperclassmen. Play the best guys, even if they are freshman.

Bob Hunter commentary: Camp Randall not so spooky after Buckeyes' winning drive

Sunday, October 5, 2008 3:41 AM
By Bob Hunter

MADISON, Wis. -- Common sense tells you a stadium has nothing to do with winning and losing. A football game is a series of blocks and tackles, runs and passes, kickoffs and punts. It is one team's execution vs. another's, one coach's decisions vs. another's, a fortunate call, a good play or a lucky break. Where it's played shouldn't matter.
It shouldn't, but for some inexplicable reason, it does. Camp Randall Stadium has been a field of broken dreams for Ohio State, and last night it came close to shattering some more. A Wisconsin team that Ohio State had dominated early, a Wisconsin team that sometimes seemed overmatched from a talent standpoint, led until Buckeyes freshman quarterback Terrelle Pryor scored on an 11-yard run with 1:08 remaining.
Given what's happened here in the past, given what seemed to be happening last night, that final 12-play, 80-yard Ohio State drive was a powerful answer to the forces that seem to be at work in this place. For that reason, the Buckeyes' 20-17 win was one impressive victory.

THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH
CHRIS RUSSELL | DISPATCH
Chris "Beanie" Wells finds an opening in the Wisconsin defense.

MADISON, Wis. -- As he watched Wisconsin take a fourth-quarter lead last night in a rocking Camp Randall Stadium, Ohio State tailback Chris "Beanie" Wells decided to put the pressure squarely on the shoulders of his freshman quarterback.
Terrelle Pryor had played well in his two previous starts but had never been on this grand of a stage. Wisconsin was a ranked team, and this place was legendary for its hostility. Eighty thousand veteran tailgaters were screaming.
Now, Ohio State was getting the ball back on its 20-yard line with 6:31 remaining, needing a touchdown.
Wells turned to Pryor.
"I told him, 'This is a man's world, and you're stepping into manhood right now,' " Wells said.

THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH

Three starts into the Terrelle Pryor era, it is becoming difficult to doubt this team's limits where No. 2 is involved. Between a rock and a hard spot, The Kid chose peace, calm -- and victory. Leaves are awarded on a zero-to-five basis.
Offense (three leaves)
Pryor missed some reads, he took some bad sacks, he got flummoxed at times. Yeah, and when the game was on the table like the last cookie on the plate, he snatched it away, popped it in his mouth and smiled for good measure. Beanie was beastly, as well, with his 168 hard yards.
Defense (three leaves)
Call it two with a bullet -- another middling grade, this one slightly better. The defenders got some quarterback pressure, but warts remain. Did Wisconsin really drive 77 yards through the air in the final minute of the first half? Yep, and Badgers RBs gashed OSU for 179 yards. Yikes.
Special teams (four leaves)
