This just in: Mark May is a d-bag! There are 2 or maybe 3 conferences that are worse than the B10. He can't help himself.

Mark May has issues. Enough said. He'll join his old buddy Trev soon enough.
There is a constant pattern to our games. We score enough to win, albeit in a low scoring game, we pull the foot off the accelerator and the other team eventually makes the score look better than it might have. These guys were talking about taking us out this week and they thought they had a chance. Some of the computers had us as 1 point favorites. I agree that the last score was a bit excessive, but it was due to a great effort by a running back that doesn't get many opportunities and we need these guys to shake off the loss to Penn State. This game was about Tressel getting the guys focused outside again, on the competition, rather than inside on themselves. We did nothing that other teams don't do week after week and we constantly get accused for not being able to finish games, as LJB said. I also don't think that you put Todd in and then let him throw 5 yard screen passes. That is an insult to that young man. I was glad to see him in there again. So, in my book, no apologies. Let's finish the next two the same way and look for a great bowl game. |

Jim Tressel's 81st win which ties Earle Bruce.

He just gives fodder after the game to blast back at him. Anyone know how Pitt is doing this year?

What I've come to realize from the criticism is this. People bitch when you beat inferior teams close, the bitch when you blow em out. They bitch when you lose to anyone. I enjoyed this drubbing emensely. And as what my father said after the second OSU drive today "See Tressel's doing it again", I have one thing to say, HA

Reading this thread, it's sad that people are more worried about the announcers than the Buckeyes. Pryor looked great. Beanie looks strong. We played better on the line as the game went on. We played with little emotion until Beanie's run...then after that we played fired up Buckeye football on both sides of the ball. Lots of emotion on the field. Yet all some of you can talk about is how you hate the announcers??? Telling them to die, [censored] off, or using discriminatory remarks. That's plain wrong. To talk that way about any other human being is wrong. Say you disagree, fine. But some of the things that are being said are horrible. Express yourself with some class. A bunch of you sound like you have very little of it. If you hate the announcers so much, turn the sound off and listen to The Ohio State University Football Network on the radio. But you probably listen to them, becuase you just like to complain and say "[censored] You!" to somebody you've never met and who is just doing his job. How dare he.
But anyway, about what really matters, great game!!! We stood tall on defense for sure. We played with a fire that I was worried we wouldn't see. But give it to Coach Tressel. The team may have started flat, but he's got this team wanting to win and play well, and play 100%. And they did! GO BUCKS!!! 14 days until The Game!!! Go Iowa! |

I was thinking the same thing. Seriously though, why Northwestern as opposed to other teams? |

ESPN is not painting this as a run-up score...rather a win against a weak team...
link No apologies needed after this one. Terrelle Pryor threw for three scores and Chris "Beanie" Wells ran for two more, leading No. 11 Ohio State to a 45-10 victory over No. 24 Northwestern on Saturday that showed the Buckeyes are definitely over their loss to Penn State two weeks ago. Pryor was 9-of-14 for 197 yards, and added 33 on the ground. Wells finished with 140 yards on 28 carries. It was Ohio State's fourth victory in a row over Northwestern, and it delighted the sellout crowd that appeared to be two-thirds Buckeyes fans. More importantly, the win keeps the Buckeyes' chances for a fourth straight Big Ten title alive. Ohio State (8-2, 5-1) needs to win out and get some help from Penn State and Michigan State, who play each other in the season finale. Mike Kafka got another start for Northwestern (7-3, 3-3) with C.J. Bacher still nursing a hamstring injury. But Kafka couldn't duplicate his big day from last week, when he set a Big Ten quarterback record with 217 yards rushing. Kafka finished with 83 yards rushing and a score and was 18-of-27 for 177 yards, but the Wildcats were no match for the bigger, stronger Buckeyes. At least this one was closer than the past three games, when Ohio State outscored Northwestern 160-24. Pryor apologized to his teammates after the loss to Penn State, saying his mistakes cost them the game. His fumble set up Penn State's go-ahead touchdown, and the Nittany Lions sealed the victory with an interception. With last weekend's bye giving him an extra week to stew about the loss, one question was how the freshman would respond against the Wildcats. Quite nicely, thank you. Continues |

I concurr and dissent....... 1. Freedom of speech, so say what is on your mind, but do it with some tact.. 2. Some comments were a bit extreme, but I doubt anybody would have really stabbed Ware in the throat. I refuse to take everything typed in a forum as literal nor will I harshly criticize someone for making occasional critical comments. 3. You are right, tOSU's performance should be the primary focus. Go Bucks! |

Yep, sounds like it was a great game. I hope I get to catch the highlights, especially the TP "sick" TD play, whatever that was. |
