Win or lose, Michigan employs a common rule in which its players and coaches must put the past game out of their minds 24 hours after it ended. Wolverines coach Rich Rodriguez might amend the 24-hour rule ever so slightly this week now that UM is finally coming off a victory - last weekend's 29-6 triumph over Minnesota. Rodriguez doesn't want his players celebrating rather than preparing for Northwestern, but he would like them to hold onto the positive feelings that come with success after five consecutive losses. "I would say more than anything it's a confidence level," Rodriguez said during yesterday's Big Ten coaches teleconference. At 3-7 in his first season at UM, Rodriguez has had to implement his system mostly in the midst of some ugly losses. Beating Minnesota should at least lighten the mood at practice this week.

So I recently got married and for a wedding gift my brother (The Best Man) got my wife and I tickets to The Game. I was just curious as to what everybody's thoughts were on how I can maximize my OSU v. scUM game experience. I believe we are arriving in C-bus on Friday so from that night until game time Im looking for some great ideas on how to make this experience truely memorable. I know Skull Session should be in the plans, but what else? Any thoughts/ideas would be greatly appreciated.

People are saying that it will be a trap game for Ohio State because OSU will be caught napping against supposedly "poor" Michigan.

I am actually nervous about The Game because I feel like OSU might feel way too overconfident about it. I am getting the feeling that this is a quick flashback to Woody Hayes' great disappointment against Bo in his first rivalry game where he was supposed to be heavily favored.

If Michigan actually upsets Ohio State this year...this may start the second version of "10 Years War" ... but I'd rather not for it to happen. I want Coach Tressel to come out all ready to coach his team and lead the team to a major blowout. I want the Buckeyes to show them who is the best damn team in the Big 10, especially at being consistent!
