This doesn't even warrant a response, but I'd hate for anyone browsing the board to get the impression that you actually made a valid point. The goal for this year's Buckeyes is to win every game, win the Big Ten Conference Championship, and play for the BCS Championship. Before the season, The Game is the most important of the season, because 2 of those 3 goals are impossible to achieve without a win in the last game of the regualr season. During the season, from the Sunday before, until game time, each game will be the only game that matters. If
OSU makes it to Nov 22nd undefeated, UM will be the most important game of the regular season. If
OSU does not have a shot at making the BCS NC game on Nov. 22nd, the game becomes even more important, because Ohio State coaches, players, and fans respect the rivalry, and know what kind of impact it has on the attitude toward that season, and the next season. For fans, The Game is always special, because no victory, short of a NC game, is nearly as sweet as beating the crap out of those maize and blue bastards. Coach Tressel has emphasised the importance of the rivalry since day one. If the rivalry has lost importance, it is due to your guys not holding up their end of the bargain. If UM doesn't field a competent team in the next few years, this rivalry will become less competitive than ND/Navy.
