Princeton, the No. 4 team in the Enquirer Division I area coaches' poll, came into Middletown Friday night hoping to win the Greater Miami Conference title outright, but it was turned away as No. 9 Middletown won for the seventh time in its last eight games, 70-58.

News flash: Middies forward Bill Edwards Jr. is good ? real good.
If his 28-point, 10-rebound exhibition against the Hamilton Big Blue last Friday wasn't enough to convince you, Edwards turned around on Tuesday and dropped another double-double, 33 points and 13 boards, on the Mason Comets. In each contest ? both victories, by the way ? the 6-foot-6 junior looked like a man among boys.
His play over the past week is the type that makes college recruiters salivate.
Middies basketball coach Bob Ronai said this may be the best two-game stretch of Edwards' career at Middletown.
"He's starting to come into his own," Ronai said. "He's scoring points, but he's playing well in other areas too. He's rebounding well, and he's playing a lot better defensively."

Bill sounds like the perfect 4 in Matta's lineups. He has a nice jumpshot with range and can rebound like it's his job. I hope we are still looking at him in case Riley and/or Orton decide to go elsewhere.

I have always liked his game.....not really sure why the staff hasn't made him a priority other than liking other prospects better.........maybe his injury scared them off a bit......it sounds like he has recovered.

I honestly haven't seen him play, but 6'5'' is hard to fathom at PF...Could be a 3/4 combo, but if we are going to do that we have Wallace here already...

We need some size at the PF...We aren't lacking in 6'5'' wings...

According to the original post he was 6'5" over a year ago. I saw where I have seen him listed at 6'7" or 8". I really don't know.
