Is his game based more on athleticism or skills? Either way, I've heard him compared to everyone from KG to Kenyon Martin with a jumper to Carmelo. Kenyon Martin with a jumper seems the most appropriate just looking at his body and size.

Some kids don't develop the defenition in their arms, but are still very strong...His body type looks a lot like Kevin Love from this past recruiting class...

Could be, but Kevin Love isn't exactly an athletic specimen. I'm just wondering if Sidney is that good of an athlete to warrent comparisons to KG, who has been one of the top five athletic big men since he entered the NBA.

That would be interesting if we were to get Sidney, with Thomas and Sullinger the following year. I guess if Sidney is a one and done player, it wouldn't be an issue, but I worry about taking too many of these types of players.

Either way, Matta has a better idea of who he's going to land and how many years they'll stay than anyone on this board.

From the sounds of it, he probably does have an offer, Sidney just hasn't reported it. Wouldn't be the first time an offer goes unreported.

Sidney is originally from Mississippi, but moved to LA for HS. I'm sure he's listening to Matta, but honestly, I think, hoops wise, tOSU has moved into the club of "WOW" offers for kids-they might not really be interested, but it sure is cool to tell everyone "I got an offer from OSU,Arizona,Duke,Syracuse,etc."

Wow. The fact that we are the only school that is even mentioned is just incredible. I think I could be ok with banking one 2008 schollie and ending up with a 2009 class of Sidney and Cheek.

If you had those two guys for 2009 making a scholarship in 2008 would be a no-brainerI mean they would only be two of the best.
