From reading Texas high school sites, it appears that Sheppard is much more of an athlete than a quarterback right now. We'll see if he makes a Pryor like leap between his junior and senior years. His TD/INT is pretty high, though I hear he also has questionable receivers.
It will be very interesting to see how Texas recruits him since Texas is supposedly loaded with QBs next year. |

Well, Clauson didn't redshirt. If Crist does, he is going to have at least two years as a starter. Maybe even three if Clausen gets tired of playing college football after winning 3 heismans.

You mean two heismans, he cant win one this year because that absolutely evil human being Ty Willingham left ND so senior deprived and with such a terrible offensive line that even the greatest football player of all time cant compensate for. But dont worry, next year when all of those god-forsaken willingham recruits are gone, ND will be back to their customary NC and Heisman per year rate.

Don't worry, he'll win 2 next year to make up for it. ![]() |

I still can't get over how amazing this kid is on film. His natural athleticism is incredible.
Most of the highlights are of him running, but on a few throws he did show some good arm strength to put zip on the ball to hit his receiver in stride. His real threat, as of right now, are his legs. He has the moves and darn near the speed of Mike Vick, and is about as explosive as they come. I don't know a whole lot about him as a passer, but if he can be coached into an effective, patient pocket passer then the sky is the limit for him as a QB. If not, he is still easily an elite athlete as a WR/RB. |

He does like UT. However, UT will have a decision on their hands on which QB they want to offer with the '09 class. There is another top prospect (name escapes me) from Austin. He's more of a dropback passer though. Will be interesting to see where the UT offensive direction heads now that Applewhite is the OC. |
