From the Texas site...coaches from Alabama, Arkansas, Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, UCLA, Florida and Virginia have been in to see Russell this spring. He has decided not to focus on recruiting right now and instead focus on his upcoming season.

Claims Ohio State is new to his recruitment. Was planning on visiting quite a few schools this summer but instead is focusing on his team.

Texas is supposedly loaded with Quarterbacks(at least two five stars in Sheppard and someone with the last name Gilbert IIRC), so it would be awesome to pluck Sheppard out of there. I really think if Texas doesn't get him, then he'd definitely go out of state.

That article is interesting...most QB's won't admit that WR's and the best team will win out. He seems like he would want early PT though, something UT will have a better shot at offering if we land TP. Still a ton of time to go though.

Even if we get Pryor, it's unlikely he would have done enough on the field as a true Freshman to scare off other highly talented QBs -- particularly not one who is #27's cousin.
I really like this possibility. Thanks for starting up the thread. This one should be fun to watch for the next year or so.

I agree completely, there's no reason to be scared by other recruits, I'm sure he has the confidence to come in and compete with whoever is here if he comes to C-bus. Which I hope 27 has been been working on that, no better recruiter then a former All Pro, future Hall of Fame, Heisman Trophy winning, millionaire cousin.
