Lets wait and see. I have known him since he played for the Binns Bengals of the Karl J. Fulton league on the west side of Columbus at age 6. Myself and another unnamed gentleman have recently took to helping him train.
I will have the opportunity to post highlights very soon and throughout LH's season. |

Storm Timson - clip from 8-11 scrimmage

That doesn't really test strength though. It just tests muscular endurance. He could have a very high 1 rep max for all we know. I've always thought the bench press test was pretty much useless.

In Saturday's scrimmage against Heath, Storm had 4 receptions and a touchdown on offense, and several big hits, an interception, a forced fumble, and a fumble return for a rouchdown on defense, all in less than 20 total plays.

With Storm's 13 reps at 185, that converts to a 278 bench, plus or minus about 5 pounds. Now, I'm not saying Storm's weak by any stretch...he just looks like he could bench a house. |

Even though Storm is clearly muscular, he's still only 185 lbs. A 275-285 lbs bench would be pretty darn impressive especially considering his age, IMO. |

I think your both right. In his case, he did not start lifting seriously until this year because they told him at Ohi0 State camp that you shouldn't until you reach 16 because it would affect his growth. Current focus is Isometrics to build the fast twitch muscles, which are not necessarily involved in raw power like a 315 lb benchpress would necessitate. 185 numbers are up to 16, but endurance benching is not focus right now, it is speed, and more speed + quickness combined with strength. Next year at this time he will be in the 195Lb range and hitting that high bench number, and making hits like shown on the link with another 15 lbs of force at an even quicker rate. Not sure how 315 bench plays into that. |

Regardless, I'm sure Storm's training is being well-monitored and will be tailored to suit his developmental needs. |
