At this point with Whiting and Klein in the fold, Bell having an offer (and showing much interest) and Fletcher looking like a possibility, I would be very suprised if Studlein were anywhere close to an OSU offer. I think camp is his only shot, but many Illini fans are confident he is going to commit soon.

Let Illinois have him. I think we're cool with Sabino in the middle, and plus with the studs we already have commited in Whiting and Klein, I don't think we're gonna be crying over this kid at we're smashing UofI. A lot of people fell in love with this kid after seeing his highlight tape and seeing and hearing his love for tOSU, but our coaches are top notch in recruiting and obviously this kid isn't good enough to earn an offer yet. It's not personal, it's just business.

2/28 From the MSU site...has offers from Illinois, Cincinnati, Akron and Miami (OH). Also hearing from Ohio State, Michigan State, Penn State, Notre Dame, Boston College and Pittsburgh. Talks about his contact with the Spartan staff and talks about his spring rugby schedule. Article incorrectly says he plays for Big Walnut HS when in actually he plays his rugby for the Westerville Worms...

I have looked at other big ten boards and illini's think they will get him if we don't offer which i agree with being that is his nicest offer he has one from northwestern and cincy. But i like his Highlight film but the thing is is that I live in central ohio and have seen him play 3-4 times this year and also when they played Dublin sciota. I have seen him do some amazing tackles and 20 tackle games but then I have seen a 5 10 lineman in the playoffs put him on his back. I like him idk. Back to Dublin sciota There athlete Mcdougald lit the bw defense apart so bad and i just found this video online today Video Bradley McDougald Dublin Scioto Scouting Ohio 58 seconds and 4:50 is him playing bigwalnut. I just don't know.

Will received 2 more official offers from Northwestern and Maryland last week and Michigan St should have one in the mail this week. The OSU staff is all over him as of late and there might be some movement coming from them very soon.

tough break for Studlein. Would guess he is out for his senior season given the timing of the injury, but who knows...some knees heal up quicker than others.
Anyway, a question for those that know the recruiting game significantly more than myself.... I was wondering what general protocol is here for the programs that have offered Studlein? Would it be considered taboo/bad form to yank his scholarship offer...or is a scholarship yank conisdered no big deal and should be expected in a situation like this?
