You get down to one or two spots and the class is essentially "wrapped up". In any case it is not like you can just set recruiting aside. You still have to maintain contact and interest with the committed kids which, with a class this size, is no small task.

My guess, however, is that the incentive to wrap up 2009 is to start in earnest on 2010.

Whatever number JT is looking at with the small class size currently projected for next year there has to be at least one spot he is willing to bank if he doesn't get a particular target.

Leroyjenkins..... I'm not sure i agree with you. Watt's ship sailed with Longo. Mulddon's with Newsome. Vlad's with McDougald. Only Berry and Hall are guaranteed IMO. Hall is a Glenville connection and may be a silent verbal. If they have 1 to 2 more spots left it will get real interesting.

What the term "left out" meant to me is that our class would fill up and these guys would not be in S&G because of numbers. I was just saying that while their ship had sailed, or spots taken by other people, thats not necessarily "left out".

Adams narrows college football choices to 3

Ohio State, Southern Cal, and Arizone State. Wanted to narrow it down because recruiting is getting out of hand and classes are filling up.

By Jason Jewell...Adams states he is down to Ohio State, USC, and ASU. He goes on to expand a bit on why he likes those 3. He is aware some classes are filling up and is in a "rush" to get his visits set up.

I've heard from very good sources that the likes of USC aren't going to be able to sway Adams that much and ASU even less.

I'm liking our chances with Corey with every new day. I was very pessimistic about a month ago or less, now I'm fairly optomistic. It would be something to pull in 3 five star defensive linemen this year in Simon, Adams, and Fellows. If we get Adams then we'll have gotten Goebel, Rowell, Adams, Bellamy, and Simon plus the 'tweener Mobley in the past 2 years at DT! Tressel can't recruit DTs.

As much as I like Vlad, it is just very hard to comprehend taking the 7th DB/12th speed prospect over a franchise DL like Adams. having good safeties is a priority, but championships on won on the lines, especially the DL. Let's get Berry and Hall wrapped up and wait as long as it takes to get this kid.

I am with you...But I am sure that if Adams wants to come the staff will find a way to get him in this class...
