A lot of these young men want to see the world so to speak. Having known kids growing up here in Miami, that's exactly what they want to do, even if they have their heart set on a school. Call it an ego trip, feeling self-important, they all have their own reasons. Some have never been much outside of where they live.

Go to a free class at the libraries and find out how to use the Internet!
People watch at Tippecanoe Mall!
Walk Main Street and check out all the places to shop and dine!
Take a magnet with you and visit the Courthouse during open hours…check out the “woodwork” to discover what is really metal!

Go sledding on one of our great hills…or if nature needs some help, go to Murdock Park and use the “man-made” snow!
Make a choir of snow angels at one of the parks!

Although officially committed to sign a national letter of intent with Miami, when he arrived here for the U.S. Army All-American Bowl he indicated that he's still strongly considering Oregon.
"It's real tough," Bryce said of his decision. "Oregon reminds me of home. Miami is different. Oregon is personally the best fit for me. At Miami, I would be tested spiritually, and I need to be tested. Oregon has the type of people like me. It's not as diverse."

Miami just fired their OC Nix. It's going to be interesting, because Randy Shannon wanted to keep the 2 back system while Nix wanted to open it up. Wonder how that's going to affect Bryce's decision now, Eye on the U | Nix fired, wanted to open offense up

Knowing Miami fans they're glad Nix is gone, they gave him plenty of chances.

The biggest news for Oregon didn't come from the long list of visitors in Eugene this weekend. Bryce Brown, the nation's top-ranked running back, is committed to Miami and took an unofficial visit to Kansas State this weekend, but stated in an interview that Oregon sits at the top of his list.

College Football Recruiting On the Trail 2009 - ESPN

Bryce Brown in no rush to make final decision

The nation's No. 2-rated running back spoke with ESPN affiliate Web site InsideTheU.com about the current status of his recruitment.

Brown reaffirmed that despite being a Hurricanes' commitment, the Ducks are on top, "Oregon is still my leader."

Miami's vacancy at offensive coordinator also looks like it could cause Brown to remained unsigned as national signing day passes, "That's looking like the plan I will take. I don't have a date set, but it's looking like it will go past signing day."

I agree!! Plus it would be nice to see possible competition for USC.
