Green's a Buckeye lean, but that doesn't necessarily mean that he'll be ready commit in the near future ... and there are several other Buckeye leans who'd love to take "his" spot in the class of 2009.

Green is as fast a player as you'll ever see on a football field, and he gets up to full speed almost instantaneously. He also seems to have very good vision as a running back, and he hits the hole hard, especially for a kid his size. Perfect return man ... definite home run threat ... worry about his "other" position later.

I want Green in this class as much as any other uncommitted player...I think that highly of him...as much as McGee, Hall, Berry or Adams...

That is saying quite a bit. I put Berry above all of them due to my belief of our need of a top shelf every down back.

Green however is in the very next group. I said it before but quite a few people seem to focus on McGee and forget about Green. If we got Green it would make not getting McGee very very easy.

The reason I want green is because you can never have too much speed. Like stated by Wade his ability as a threat in the return game alone warrants an offer. Add the possibility at WR and or DB and you have a future all-conference/AA type player. I like the speed he and Jackson bring to this class(there are others). Both players fit into returnmen/WR category. I know green is being recruited as an athlete but his future is on offense. Like Ginn he is a threat to take it to the house on any touch...

Ditto. He is impressive on film. My only question is why it took so long for him to get an offer?

Nothing personal but statements like these are a bit much. It isn't even JULY yet and the kid has an offer. Granted there are others who got some earlier, but I'm sure you get the idea. Believe me you are not the only person to think this, , but I hope in the end egos do not get that much involved in this.

In my own personal opinion, I like McGee a tad more but it's really just personal preference...I think McGee is a little more electric with the ball is his hands, but I think Green is a better defensive prospect. Make no mistake about it though, I really want to see Justin Green in this class. Out of all the uncommited DB's right now, it is Green and McGee as 1A and 1B, then everyone else...just my opinion, though I think the staff takes whoever comes first.

Male High School has recently produced a number of major NCAA Division I football players, including three Mr. Football winners.

The Bulldogs have another hot college prospect this season.

Defensive back/running back Justin Green is considered one of the top prospects in the country, and he has big-time programs hot on his trail.

The 5-foot-11, 178-pound Green, who recently won four titles in the Class 3-A State Track and Field Championships, is the No. 67 prospect overall and No. 6 cornerback in the country, according to Rivals.com.

"I'm just trying to take it all in," Green said last week from a camp at Ohio State. "I am just taking everything in, looking at schools and trying to make a top list of schools to visit."

Green's brother, Marcus, played for Ohio State, and the younger Green said the Buckeyes have offered him a scholarship.

Green also has offers from the University of Louisville, the University of Kentucky, Indiana University, Alabama, Miami, Tennessee, Illinois, Michigan State, Northwestern, Arkansas and Western Kentucky. He's made unofficial visits to most of those schools.

"It's been expensive, but I wanted to try and see as many schools as possible and see what they have to offer," Green said. "I really want a place where I feel comfortable at. I want almost like a home away from home."

But Green said that doesn't necessarily mean he's going to leave home. U of L has had luck signing Male players.

"Louisville has a chance," Green said. "I have been around Louisville a lot, but I want to see what else is out there."

Green, who runs a 4.5-second 40-yard dash, said he likely won't make a decision until taking his official visits this fall.
