They have jack squat as a talent base. Sorry, but I just don't see any fuel at all for a "spark of success".

You excel at Indiana, and you may get looked at by NFL scouts. You excel at Ohio State, and you're a first-round draft pick.

Indiana has many things going for it besides its athletics. Indiana can say they have great academics. Like Milli is saying they can play the " we have something special going and you could help build it". They can also say they have a darn good academic reputation. Thats not saying OSU is not elite in both as well but Indiana may appeal to a kid thats not focused on playing in the NFL or sitting the bench for possibly a year or more.

His being a 4-star corner with offers from every Big Ten school, I'd say chances are pretty good that he's looking at eventually going pro. Few schools develop corners better than we do.

I know what you mean but he may not be set on playing pro. If he wants to play pro football OSU is the clear choice...like you said besides maybe the Hurricanes nobody has put DB's in the league like OSU has.

If this kid is as good as advertised, and he's a 4 star recruit, he's definitely thinking of going pro! And kids always think of the best program that will get them noticed by "the league". And that's tOSU hands down, I really don't see much competition coming from Bloomington. It's a nice school and all, but that's all it is.

Rivals $--Video: D.J. Hunter Makes Plays

My take: Loved this film. Everything you want to see in a DB...smooth hips, changes direction well, excellent feel in space and speed to burn. There were 3 clips that stood out to me...watch the hips in clip 1, the change of direction around the one minute mark, and the walk-down on the breakaway kickoff return. Excellent prospect.

Dante Whitner with more speed...I think he is more of a safety prospect at the time being...But he can cover, has great closing speed, will come and make plays...

Vlad, Hunter, and Wood make a great safety class...

Barnett, Givens, McGee make a great CB class...

Maybe I shouldn't of said Donte Whitner with more speed...

What I was getting at after watching that exciting film, was a Donte Whitner type player...A guy that can blitz off the edge on a safety blitz, will come up from his safety position and stick you, and can also cover, but isn't quite a true CB...

As for the more speed, I don't know what Whitner's times were but Hunter's 60m time of 6.96 is very impressive and his speed translates the field...

My take: Loved this film. Everything you want to see in a DB...smooth hips, changes direction well, excellent feel in space and speed to burn. There were 3 clips that stood out to me...watch the hips in clip 1, the change of direction around the one minute mark, and the walk-down on the breakaway kickoff return. Excellent prospect.
